Wega-Fremont wins on Wolves’ home court

Brayden Arndt had the hot hand for the Weyauwega-Fremont boys’ basketball team Dec. 21 in the Warhawks’ Central Wisconsin Conference matchup with Manawa.
His game-high 35 points that included seven three-pointers helped the Warhawks pick up an 80-56 win on the Wolves’ home court.
The Warhawks led 35-24 at the half behind Jaden Rice’s 13 points.
Weyauwega-Fremont then outscored the home team 45-32 in the second half.
Twenty-four of Arndt’s points came in the second half.
Rice with 19 and Quinn Dittmann also finished in double figures for the Warhawks with 19 and 12 points, respectively.
Nathan Gorman led Manawa with 17 points, followed by Rohan Hass with 15.
Both teams have CWC division home games scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 4. Manawa will host Gresham in a CWC-North matchup, while Menominee Indian will face the Warhawks in a CWC-East game.
