Couple suspected of drug dealing

Parked car in Weyauwega draws police attention

Amber R. Judd, 36, Merrill, and Jamie L. Higgins, 39, Neenah, are charged with possession of narcotics and possession of amphetamine, both with intent to deliver as party to a crime, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Tuesday, Jan. 11, Weyauwega Police Sgt. Bryan Strobusch spoke to staff at the Subway shop in Weyauwega.

They told him there were two people in a car in the parking lot who were acting strangely.

According to the criminal complaint, the couple allegedly had been in the parking lot for hours and had come into the store and used the bathroom several times.

They asked Strobusch to make contact with the two, determine what they were doing and ask them to leave.

Strobusch returned to his squad car, ran a records check and found that the vehicle’s registered owner had a suspended driver’s license.

Then a Subway employee carrying a bag approached Strobusch. He said he found the bag in the restroom’s trash can. Inside the bag were two containers, one with material that later tested positive for fentanyl and the other with possible meth.

Strobusch viewed security video that apparently showed the woman from the car carrying a bag similar to the one found in the restroom trash.

During a subsequent traffic stop, Judd and Higgins were arrested after a K9 alert for drugs.

Higgins told investigators the bag belonged to Judd.

Both remain in custody on $2,000 cash bonds.
