New London comes up short at home

New London’s wrestling team wrapped up its Bay Conference dual meet season Feb. 33 by dropping a 45-33 decision to Menasha.

Thirty of the Bulldogs’ points came on pins. Wyatt Magolski pinned Jacob Natzke in 1:06 at 106 pounds, Austin Schmallenberg pinned J.J. Zielinski in 3:59 (132), Bryce Maves pinned James Strauch in 4:30 (152), Damien Stilen pinned Grant Restoule in 1:04 (160) and DeEvian Ross pinned Kaeden Grawvunder in 2:16 (220).

New London’s other win came at 113 on Nick Duch’s 3-0 decision over Nick Jenkins.

Menasha’s wins included C.J. Quick’s pin of Zaylie Reimer in 1:39 (126), Doug Laux’s in of Jerrick Pues in 4:08 (138), Logan Derouin’s 11-4 decision over Hailie Krueger (145) and Cason Quick’s pin of Braxton Bryant in 34 seconds (285).
