Witkowski leads way with 21 points

The Iola-Scandinavia girls’ basketball team handed Weyauwega-Fremont a 40-35 loss Feb. 4.
The Thunderbirds outscored the Warhawks 24-14 in the first half behind seven points from Madeline Much.
Olivia Witkowski kept the Warhawks in the game by scoring 14 of her game-high 21 points in the second half.
Jaelyn Sivertson led the T-Birds with 14 points and Makayla Much added nine.
Both teams have Central Wisconsin Conference-East games scheduled for Friday, Feb. 11.
Iola-Scandinavia will head to Shiocton, while Weyauwega-Fremont will host Menominee Indian.
