Lost Worlds

Wood

Dear Reader,

What do you look at when you see an old photograph of a girlfriend that you once knew long ago? She has a sweet smile on her face and long curly hair. Her face beams with happiness and the innocence of dreams about to come true.

Ah, to believe in the promises of a youthful romance. But time overtakes us, swallowing our youth and bending our shoulders. We don’t notice the gradual stages of growing old, until one day it hits. If only we could recalibrate and relive some of those younger years knowing what we know now.

One thing I’m sure of is that I would choose again that girl with a sweet smile on her face and long curly hair.

Happy Valentine’s Day.
