Diane S. Neely-Heinrich, age 63 of Bear Creek passed away Monday, April 4, 2022 at Manawa Community Living Center.
The former Diane Sue Reek was born on November 29, 1958 at New London Hospital to Earl and Arlene (Wege) Reek. She grew up in the Bear Creek area, graduated from Clintonville High School, and was married briefly to Timothy E. Neely. She was united in marriage on September 19, 2014 to Mark A. Heinrich at Grace Lutheran Church, Bear Creek. Diane was employed at several places over the years, but she worked for close to 16 years at OMC Trade Winds in Manawa, and for around five years at Marion Body Works until her health no longer allowed her to. Diane was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church where she was active with the Ladies Aide and Altar Guild. She served as a Sunday school teacher and as a Superintendent for quite some time. Diane liked taking care of her home and working in her flower garden. She really enjoyed seeing different shows at the Performing Arts Center. Diane always loved to go places, whether it was trips up north or just going on an afternoon car ride to check out the local scenery.
Survivors include her husband, Mark; one son, Tyler (friend Wendy Guyette) Heinrich of Manawa; and her mother, Arlene Reek of Bear Creek. There is one sister-in-law, Lisa (Vince) Hodshire of Kenosha; three aunts, Margaret Wege of Bear Creek, Redona Stenstrup of Portage, and Agnes Wege of Clintonville; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Diane was preceded in death by her father Earl; a brother Darrell Reek; paternal grandparents, Elbert and Lidia Reek; maternal grandparents, Fred and Olga Wege; and her in-laws, Roy and Lois Heinrich.
Funeral Service was held on Monday, April 11th at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Bear Creek. Rev. Aric Fenske officiated and burial was at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville. Additionally, we want to extend a special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa for the compassionate care given to Diane.
