Waupaca County sheriff’s report April 11

• April 4 – A Waupaca woman called to report that she received a text message from an unknown number that contained a nude photo.

• April 4 – A women on the E2200 block of County Trunk B in Scandinavia called to report man threatening another man. The man that said he was going to “beat him up.”

• April 4 – An Amherst man reported that while he was at a local gas station, 250 feet of wire was taken from the back of his truck at around 10 a.m.

• April 4 – A New London man reported he was scammed out of $2,077 on eBay. It involved him selling a computer graphics card to an out-of-state buyer.

• April 4 – A Weyauwega man on Galilee Road reported a man in a truck tearing up the ditches. The caller talked to the man. The man said it was his property and could do whatever he wants. The caller pointed out there was mud all over the road and there was no excuse for that.

• April 4 – An Iola woman called to report a white-cab semi with a Maine license plate running cars off the road. It was swerving and going 80-90 miles-per-hour.

• April 4 – A Kaukauna man reported he had been assaulted by two men heading to Country Trunk N. One was wearing a biker jacket, the other a dark hooded sweatshirt.

• April 5 – A person from ThedaCare in Waupaca reported an intoxicated person in the hallway making suicidal comments and attempting to leave.

• April 5 – A Waupaca woman reported a message from a friend: “I’m done with living and I want to killer [sic] myself.” She requested a check on this person.

• April 5 – A caller requested help with a baby being locked in a vehicle for 40 minutes at a truck stop.

• April 5 – A Waupaca man reported another man living at the Econolodge. For the past week the man had been bothering workers at the nearby gas stations and at the Filling Station bar. The man was saying that he was a special agent and that “something is going down at the Econolodge tonight.”

• April 6 –The Bear Creek Citgo reported a woman stealing items from the store and her theft was captured on video.

• April 6 – A Stevens Point woman called to report she was in a house where people were doing drugs. She observed a meth pipe.

• April 6 – An anonymous caller reported a house with a detached garage with a kennel behind it. There were many unfed dogs in there and it was not clean. The puppies were malformed.

• April 6 – An Ogdensburg man called to report a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road. The male driver was passed out and still breathing.

• April 6 – A Waupaca man on Nelson Road reported that every 4-5 minutes he would hear a gunshot or two. He did not think they were coyote hunters.

• April 6 – A Waupaca woman called to report her 22-year-old son was drinking. He would not calm down and was trying to start an altercation. He had been physical before. “He is a big kid. I’m afraid he could easily hurt us,” she said.

• April 7 – A Marion woman called to report her friend was upset and he wanted to take his life. He had made similar comments in the past.

• April 7 – A New London man on County Trunk HH reported that someone hit his vehicle that was parked in his yard and pushed it into his garage.

• April 7 – A New London man reported he was receiving harassing text messages from his “soon-to-be ex-wife.”

• April 7 – A Waupaca woman called to say she was not suicidal but wanted to talk. She said she was feeling really bad and just wanted to talk to someone. She was feeling depressed, she was by herself and was drinking.

• April 8 – A Manawa resident on Butternut Road reported a man was driving his truck back and forth in front of his house and revving his engine. The caller stated that the man has shot at his house before.

• April 8 – A Clintonville woman reported she felt threatened by a man who believed she caused him to be fired from Sturm Foods. He sent her a threatening message. She was currently at work at Sturm Foods.

• April 8 – A New London woman called to report an angry 85-year-old man took off in his vehicle because he was told he shouldn’t be driving. He liked to go down to the Wolf River and watch the boats. He did not bring his walker.

•April 8 – A Marion man report thated his wife called him and left messages. She was crying and said she was going to kill herself. She has threatened suicide several times before.

• April 9 – A person from Dunkin’ Donuts in Waupaca reported a man claimed to be an FBI agent and gave employees a phone number. He also asked for rides to Stevens Point.

• April 9 – A New London man on the N6100 block of State Highway 45 reported a window smashed on his son’s vehicle. No items were taken.

• April 10 – A New London woman on the E9500 block of Hoffman Road reported she saw a drone flying around her house at 9:20 p.m. It was flying at window level and had two green glowing lights. It came around again at 9:30 p.m. and hovered in front of another window.

• April 10 – A man living along the Wolf River reported that speeding boats were breaking the no-wake rule and washing out his shoreline.

• April 10 – A woman on the N3600 block of Tomorrow River Lane reported that two men came up from the river and were sitting in her lawn chairs by the river bank.

• April 10 – A Waupaca woman reported that a partial nude photo of her was sent via Snap Chat and the recipient was threatening to make the picture go viral.

• April 10 – A woman on the N22 block of Cleghorn Road talked to her neighbor about his use of a loud leaf blower. He raised his voice to her. She had a mild panic attack.

• Throughout the week, many vehicles were found driving over the weight limit; numerous injured deer needed to be dispatched from auto collisions and residents called to report controlled burns for clearing brush and making maple syrup. Also there were many calls about cows, horses and goats running loose.
