Driver dies week after crash

Rollover occurred on U.S. 10 in Waupaca

A driver involved in a single-vehicle crash shortly after 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, died from his injuries on Wednesday, April 13.

According to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, a preliminary investigation indicated that Lee Worby, of Menomonee Falls, was eastbound on U.S. Highway 10 near County Trunk A in Waupaca when he lost control of his vehicle and rolled over.

Worby was the lone occupant of the vehicle.

Gold Cross Ambulance transported him from the scene to ThedaCare in Waupaca. Worby was then transferred to ThedaCare in Neenah, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The crash remains under investigation. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash,
