Manawa’s baseball team came up with four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, but it wasn’t enough.

Northland Lutheran/Wisconsin Valley Lutheran handed the Wolves a 7-5 loss April 28 in a matchup of Central Wisconsin Conference-North teams.

The Wildcats had opened the scoring with a run in the top of the first inning, but Manawa tied the game in the second.

The Wildcats regained the lead with four runs in the fourth before adding two more in the sixth to go up 7-1.

Dakota Stroud drove in a pair of Manawa’s runs, while Fidel Patino scored twice.

The Wolves hosted White Lake May 2 and will head to Gresham Thursday, May 5. Manawa is also scheduled to head to Chilton Saturday, May 7, for an invitational with Chilton and Sturgeon Bay.
