Waupaca County sheriff’s report May 16

• May 9 – A man taking care of another man’s property called to report that the house was unlivable with dog feces everywhere. There was a dead deer hanging in the garage, along with a wounded cat.

• May 9 – A Waupaca woman called concerned about her ex-husband. She had a restraining order on him. It expired and now he’s been contacting her.

• May 9 – A New London woman called to report her ex-boyfriend was using her security system. He changed the password and now the system is in his name.

• May 9 – Rawhide in New London called to report that a person threw a garbage can at a staff member, hitting the staffer in the face. No ambulance needed.

• May 10 – A New London farmer on Seefeld Road reported two Holstein steers went missing during last night’s storm.

• May 10 – An Ogdensburg woman reported a dark-colored truck parked on the edge of her property. She said she had seen it parked on Krueger Road several times per week.

• May 10 – An Ogdensburg man stopped in the sheriff’s office to report that trash on his neighbor’s land had been building up for years and now coming onto his property. This dispute led to some threatening comments.

• May 10 – A New London man on Church Road reported a female parked on his field’s access road. She was crying.

• May 10 – A woman called to report a fraud. She had been seeing a therapist for the past three years and now believes the person was not a therapist.

• May 10 – A Waupaca woman reported that she visited her storage unit and noticed some items missing.

• May 10 – A Marion caller reported an intoxicated 43-year-old woman took 12 Tylenol and one Vicoden.

• May 10 – The Wisconsin Veterans Home reported that security found a man in the cemetery who said he was looking for medical help. The man then took off in a silver 4Runner.

• May 11 – Sunset BP reported a gas drive-off by a dark-haired woman in her 30s driving a white Kia.

• May 11 – A caller reported that a man was at the Chimney Inn on Sunday afternoon and was “zapping” the machines to make them win. The man then called threatening her business because he was not getting his $700 in winnings.

• May 11 – A New London woman called to report that on Monday someone has put up a sign that read: “Keep your cats locked up or else they will be taken to the Humane Society.” She felt threatened by this.

• May 11 – A Fremont man reported getting a text from an unknown number that read: “If I find you, I will kill you.”

• May 12 – A New London woman was out for a run and noticed a gun in the roadway near the swim pond. She did not pick it up and reported it.

• May 12 – A Marion caller reported a woman who was talking to herself about ashes, getting divorced and someone in her driveway.

• May 12 – A Manawa man called to report a white Ford Focus with Ohio plates parked on his property. He had no idea why the vehicle was there.

• May 12 – A New London woman on Stage Road reported someone was shooting stink bombs into the side of her house.

• May 13 – A Waupaca woman reported a baby fox that was crying and walking around her yard. It had been there since the previous night.

• May 13 – A man calling from behind the Waupaca BP gas station reported a man and a woman yelling. As the man dragged her off, she screamed, “Help me! Help me!”

• May 13 – A woman called for a welfare check on her father. He made suicidal comments the night before to her mother and said he was going to shoot himself. She was at his address but he was not answering the door.

• May 13 – A deputy responded to a smashed toilet in the road in Clintonville.

• May 13 – A Manawa caller reported a white Pontiac Grand Am parked in front of her house. It appeared the male driver had his hands around the neck of a female passenger.

• May 13 – Compassus Hospice reported a woman that stated she has two loaded shotguns in her house and was going to kill herself because she didn’t qualify for hospice care.

• May 13 – A woman reported her identity was stolen. She received an email from Best Buy that two iPhones were ready for pick-up in Wauwatosa. She called Best Buy and cancelled the transaction.

• May 13 – A Clintonville woman reported her son stole her credit card and took out $1,200.

• May 13 – A Waupaca man on Amy St. called to report kids riding around on ATVs who looked too young to be riding such machines.

• May 14 – A New London woman called to report another woman posting online videos about her on social media and threatening to punch the caller in the face.

• May 14 – A New London woman on Stage Road called to report a woman trespassing on her property. The woman was hiding out in the woods and shooting stink balls at her house.

• May 14 – Spencer Lake Bible Camp called to report that a gas line was hit.

• May 14 – An Ogdensburg woman reported hearing an explosion with black smoke coming from a house and debris flying up in the air.

• May 15 – A Weyauwega man called to report a car sitting near the railroad tracks that appeared to have struck the crossing arms. No person around the car.

• May 15 – An Iola woman reported that a man walked right into her house without knocking. He was there to see a dog that was once his and that the caller now has custody.

• May 15 – A Scandinavia man reported he has a shed where he parks his potato truck. Now, two dogs live under the truck and they were snarling at his nephew.

• During this time period there were calls about controlled burns, injured deer that needed to be dispatched and a larger than normal volume of calls reporting erratic and dangerous driving.
