I-S places fourth out of 11 teams

Wittenberg-Birnamwood won the Central Wisconsin Conference boys’ golf meet, held May 9 at Iola’s Glacier Wood Golf Club.

The Chargers turned in an 18-hole round of 377, followed by Bonduel (380), Pacelli (397), Iola-Scandinavia (415), Wisconsin Valley Lutheran (425), Amherst (426), Gresham/Menominee Indian (429), Marion (454), Weyauwega-Fremont (462), Port Edwards (474), Manawa (514) and Shiocton (567).

Brandon Phillips had the low round of the meet for Iola-Scandinavia with an 87. Riley Gambsky finished with a 98, followed by Maddie Kirmse (114), Samuel Groeschl (116) and Nick Louison (121).

Charlie Mueller led Waupaca with a 106, followed by Braedon McIvor (108), Zacx Bruck (122), Weston Zemple (126) and Ayden Loughrin (137).
Ben Stern carded a 104 to lead Manawa, followed by Alex Meidl (116), Logan Flanagan (121) and Nolan Hoyord (173).

Bonduel’s Cooper Uelmen turned in the lowest round with an 83.
