Hartman Creek State Park to host Shakespeare play, workshop
William Shakespeare is coming to Hartman Creek State Park.
Shakespeare in the State Parks is traveling across Wisconsin and has scheduled a performance and workshop at the park on Sunday, June 26.
Summit Players Theatre will perform a stripped-down, fast-paced version of Shakespeare’s comedy “Much Ado About Nothing” at 2:30 p.m. at the park’s amphitheater.
Prior to the performance, a fun, play-specific educational workshop on Shakespearean history, language and characters will be held at 1 p.m.
The workshop is recommended for ages 8 and up. The performance and workshop are free for all park visitors, but an annual sticker or daily park pass is required to enter the park, located at N2480 Hartman Creek Road, Waupaca.
