Daniel (Dan “O”) B. Reach, age 55, of Waupaca, WI passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family
on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at his home in Waupaca.
He was born April 8, 1967 in Chicago, IL; son of Walker and Carole (Nielsen) Reach. Dan graduated from Waupaca High School in 1985. On May 1, 2009 he married Carolee “Carrie” Volden in Waupaca. He was an avid outdoorsman and liked spending time in the woods bird hunting. Dan enjoyed being on the water, too, where he liked to fish and waterski. He will be dearly missed by all of his loving family and many friends.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 13 years Carrie Reach of Waupaca; his parents Walker and Carole Reach of Waupaca; two brothers David (Lucia) Reach of Minneapolis, MN and Doug (Judy) Reach of Waupaca; nieces and nephews Jennifer (significant other David Surbur) Reach of Verona, Elizabeth Reach of Minneapolis, MN, Lindsey (Tyler) Norton of Menasha, Megan (significant other Adam Kanter) Reach of Madison, and Austin (significant other Mikayla Gutermann) Reach of Oshkosh; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Susan (James) Brownell of Sparta, Robert (Nita) Leeder of Las Vegas, NV, Theresa Hughes of Soldier’s Grove, Sandy Gorman of Gays Mill, and John (Lena) Volden of Virginia Beach, VA; his goddaughter Alyssa Johnson of North Carolina; his best friend David “Davey” Johnson of Waupaca; his two feline companions Simba and Molly Pie; and also by numerous nieces-in-law, nephews-in-law, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents C. Walker and Ellen Reach; his maternal grandparents George and Evelyn Nielsen; his parents-in-law Marvin and Betty Volden; and two brothers-in-law Peter Volden and Bill Gorman.
A Private Family Gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated in Dan’s name to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
