Waupaca County sheriff’s report July 5

• June 27 – A dog bit a Fremont man. The nurse in the emergency room reported the man refused to say where he was bitten and who owned the dog.

• June 27 – A Waupaca man reported that a driver on State Highway 54 between Waupaca and New London drives between 15-40 mph in a 55 mph zone. He said this has happened for the past two weeks and the slow driver almost caused a couple accidents.

• June 28 – The town of Dayton reported that a porta-potty at the park was vandalized. There was a blown-up hole near the bottom of it.

• June 28 – A Fremont man reported he was in urgent care because of a dog bite. It was his friend’s dog and he lives in the Fremont area.

• June 28 – A Waupaca woman called to report she lost her wedding ring in an area bathroom. She left it on the sink.

• June 28 – An Ogdensburg man on Swamp Road reported that a blue Chevy truck did a burn out on his property.

• June 28 – A Marion man on Schmidt Road reported that his neighbors were having a physical altercation.

• June 28 – A Marion woman reported that a female was out of control. She threw things at the caller and attempted to harm her with a screwdriver. They were now doing deep breathing to calm down.

• June 28 – A Waupaca man on Mary Jane Circle reported he received a possible fraudulent letter in the mail that requested money from him. He did not send any money and contacted a lawyer.

• June 29 – A Waupaca woman reported she was the victim of debit card fraud. She was out $35 from a Target store in Milwaukee.

• June 29 – A Waupaca man on Larsen Road reported that his neighbor’s 4-wheeler is too loud.

• June 29 – A Pine River woman called to ask for a welfare check on her sister who she wasn’t able to contact. She lives with an abusive boyfriend and has not shown up for work.

• June 29 – A New London man on Church Street reported a woman packed up her belongings and left him. She also took his dog.

• June 29 – A Clintonville man on Meadow Lane reported that his neighbors were shooting firearms out in the woods. He thought their behavior was unsafe and asked if an officer could look into it.

• June 29 – A Shiocton man reported that his catalytic converter was stolen while his vehicle parked at a local boat launch.

• June 30 – A woman reported that a man would turn up at her residence at night and steal her clothes. He was there the night before at midnight. Her boyfriend turned on a light and the man was wearing her clothing and heels. He ran away.

• June 30 – An ambulance was dispatched to Marion Pond for a female with her finger caught in a bike chain.

• June 30 – A Clintonville woman on Green Tree Road reported there was a man in the yard next to the woods. She had a previous problem where a man followed her home.

• June 30 – A Scandinavia man on Smokey Valley Road reported that his neighbor parked some sailboats he has for sale on his property. The boats were also partly in the right-of-way and could disturb traffic.

• June 30 – Wolf River Trips in New London reported there was an unresponsive person at the inner tube landing.

• June 30 – A Clintonville man on Rindt Road reported finding vaping pens and cartridges in his mailbox.

• During this period, the water patrol stopped a few boats on the Wolf River, there were numerous deer-auto collisions, a few reports of controlled burns and there was one report of a horse that got loose and two other reports of turtles in the roadway.
