ATV driver airlifted

Fremont man pinned beneath vehicle

One man was injured in an ATC accident shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, in rural Fremont.

The accident occurred on private property near the intersection of State Highway 96 and Marten Road.

According to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, the ATV backed into a ditch and rolled over onto a 36-year-old Fremont man. He was pinned beneath the vehicle.

Witnesses removed the ATV prior to the arrival of first responders.

Fremont-Wolf River Ambulance transported the operator from the scene. The operator was later airlifted to ThedaCare Neenah by Thedastar with non-life threatening injuries.

The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Fremont-Wolf River Ambulance, Fremont-Wolf River Fire Department, Dale Fire and Rescue and Thedastar.
