The world is missing an Irish gem!
On July 26th, 2022 the world lost one of its brightest Irish Gems.
Due to complications during heart surgery, Sarah Maria Adams passed away in with her daughters holding her hands and an Irish song playing in the background.
Sarah was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1936; and she was certainly born one of a kind. Throughout her life, Sarah broke the mold and followed her spirited Irish heart.
Instead of marrying young and staying in Dublin, Sarah became a stewardess at Aer Lingus and traveled Europe. It was in a Catholic Church in Frankfurt Germany, where she would meet her future husband, Larry Adams, (formerly of Platteville WI.) She then moved across the ocean to Wisconsin where she would live the rest of her life.
Amongst some of the extraordinary things she accomplished:
Sarah and Larry raised 4 children and loved them unconditionally.
In fact, she had a child at 45.
She went to University when she was 50, and graduated magna cum laude.
Spoke 3 languages.
She worked until she was 79!
Besides these accomplishments, Sarah was exceedingly generous and selfless. She was terribly charming, and if you met her, you likely remembered her. She was cute and hilarious, with a side of mischievousness. She was strong as an Ox, surviving many surgeries and Cancer, without a peep of complaint. But above all, she was loved, ferociously loved, by her family that she leaves behind.
Celebration of Life will be held at the Clearwater Harbor Boathouse on August 28th 3pm-7pm, all are welcome to come celebrate her!
