Kathleen (Kathy) Darsie Drews passed away on August 16, 2022 after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Kathy Was Born On November 5, 1944 To Carl And Dorothy Stiebs. She Grew Up On A Farm At The End Of A Peaceful Road Outside Of Ogdensburg, WI. The Farm And Land Included Woods, Glacial Rocks And Blake Brook Running Through It. Kathy Was A Graduate Of Little Wolf High School And Fox Valley Technical College. On October 12, 1968 Kathy Married Bill Drews At St. Mark Lutheran Church In Symco. They Raised Three Children And Farmed On Bill’s Family Farm Near Fremont, WI Until Bill’s Health Issues Forced Early Retirement. Together They Experienced Many Joys And Some Sorrows Until Bill’s Passing In 2011. Kathy Worked For P.H. Glatfelter Paper Company And Kimberly-Clark Corporation In Later Years Before Retiring. Kathy Will Be Remembered As An Intelligent, Hard-Working Woman Of Faith And Love Whose Kindness Stood Out, Always Putting Others Ahead Of Herself. She Loved Spending Time With Her Family, Watching Packer Games, A Cold Tap Beer, Lemon Desserts, Road Trips And Playing Cards With Friends.

Kathy will be greatly missed by her children, Jennifer (Mike) Anklam, Matthew (Michelle Larsuel) Drews and her grandsons Konnor Kuppernus and Mitchell (Nicole) Anklam. Kathy is further survived by her sister-in-law, Mavis Kohl and nieces Jan (Ernie) Flatoff, Sue (Mike) Zarecki, Tami (Dennis) Burton, Julianna (Terry) Otremba, Kristina (Trent) Munyer, Bills nieces and nephews Roxanne Drews, Barry (Trish) Drews, Dan (Diane) Kohl, John (Cindy) Kohl, Peter (Shelly) Kohl, Bryan (Marge) Buchholz, Mark (Lynne) Buchholz, Tom (Bonnie) Buchholz and other relatives and friends. Kathy was proceeded in death by her husband Bill, youngest daughter, Stephanie, brother Mike Stiebs, sister Nancy Stiebs, sister-in-law Betty (Arlyn) Buchholz, brother-in-law Jim (Bev) Drews, brother-in-law John Kohl and niece Christine Redemann.
The family would like to thank everyone for their support and the many visitors that came to see mom. We would also like to thank ThedaCare At Home Services and St. Joseph’s Residence in New London for their care and compassion.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 9016 Marsh Rd, Fremont. Rev. Doug Reinders will officiate. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established.
