Henry Orin Weddig, Jr., of Waupaca, WI, died peacefully with family at his side on Saturday, August 20, 2022.
He was born April 4, 1935 in Kewaskum, WI, to Henry Weddig, Sr. and Martha (Hattie) Weddig. He married Caroline Louise Brabender from Boltonville, WI on October 6, 1951. Henry was proud of his Eagle Scout accomplishments. He was founder of Lutheran boy and girl Pioneers at St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Kewaskum as well as co-founder, with his wife Caroline, of the Waupaca Humane Society.
Henry is survived by his children: Diana Stahla (Tom), Steve (Kathy), Dan (Pam), Tammy Hoeft (Larry), and Mary Cameron Olson (Mark), numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- randchildren, all whom he loved dearly and will also miss him dearly. He is further survived by special friend, Patti Moeller.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Caroline; sister, Gladys Waranius; daughter, Sandra Harvey (Wally); son Mark (Colleen); and granddaughter, Heather Harvey.
A celebration of life will be held at Hidden Waters Golf Course in Waupaca, on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 12 to 5 p.m. A chili luncheon will be served. Cards may be directed to Steve Weddig at 677 Wood River Ct. #2, West Bend 53095 for the Waupaca Humane Society Memorial Fund. The Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca assisted the family with arrangements.
