Author to speak at library

Clintonville program examines work of Muslim scholar

Clintonville Friends of the Library will hold an annual meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2022, at the Clintonville Public Library.

After a brief business meeting, Dr. Jon Pahl will give a presentation on his latest book, “Fethullah Gülen: A Life of Hizmet – Why a Muslim Scholar in Pennsylvania Matters to the World.”

Gulen is a Turksih Muslim scholar who lives in self-exile in the United States.

Pahl is an historian, author, teacher, preacher, researcher, business-planner and community activist. He has taught at Valparaiso, Temple and Princeton Universities and Lutheran Seminary. He has also published six other books.

He has spoken with audiences from Accra, Ghana to Anaheim, California, as well as at Cambridge, Oxford, Princeton, Stanford, Yale and many other universities, churches, bookstores, mosques and libraries.

This event is open to the public.
