Earl Breier, age 96, of Waupaca, WI, formerly of Manawa, WI, passed away peacefully Monday, November 14th, 2022 at Bethany Home in Waupaca.
He was born in the Township of Little Wolf on April 24th, 1926, to Edwin and Olga (Handrich) Breier. Earl served his county in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. When he returned home, he started working for his family painting and decorating business. He then was able to take the business over and run it himself up until his retirement. Earl enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing softball, as well as Dart ball, and all things sports.
Earl is survived by his wife of 44 years Marian Breier of Waupaca; son Gary Breier of Waupaca; four step sons Albert Rusch of Waupaca, Edwin (Barb) Rusch of Waupaca, James (Diane) Rusch of Waupaca, and Steve (Julie) Rusch of New Franken; two step daughters Jacci (Don) Berglund of Winneconne and Susan (Richard) Moss of Aptos, CA. Earl is also blessed with eleven step grandchildren and ten step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Edwin and Olga Breier; his brother and sister-in-law, Lester and Jean Breier; and his first wife Dorothy Breier.
A funeral service will be on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 11:00AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Reverend Ron Siemers will officiate. A visitation will be held on Tuesday morning from 10:00AM until the time of service. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials can be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
