Waupaca County sheriff’s report Dec. 11

• Dec. 5 – A Manawa woman on Riverview Drive reported her stepfather tried to stop her from moving out, pushed her around and choked her.

• Dec. 5 – A Tigerton man reported a trespasser on his land near Mud Lake Road.

• Dec. 5 – A Waupaca man on County Trunk K reported finding a wheelchair on his land. It was in the bushes near the road.

• Dec. 5 – Iola Sentry Food reported an older intoxicated man in a beige coat was approaching people.

• Dec. 6 – The Wisconsin Veterans Home reported the strong smell of marijuana coming from a room.

• Dec. 6 – A Waupaca man on Whitetail Trail reported someone acquired a new driver’s license in his name.

• Dec. 8 – A Weyauwega woman on Pine Street reported someone might be inside her vehicle. Her dog was going crazy.

• Dec. 8 – A Manawa woman on Symco Road reported someone “totaled her mailbox.” There were vehicle tracks nearby.

• Dec. 8 – An Ogdensburg man reported he came home from work and found the service door to his garage open.

• Dec. 8 – A Weyauwega man on Holiday Road reported he was contacted by someone posing as a family member on Facebook. The person sent him a link to apply for a grant. He had to answer some questions and a check would be sent to him after paying a processing fee.

• Dec. 8 – A Manawa caller on Ash Street reported an intoxicated man was about get into his Chrysler Sebring and drive off.

• Dec. 9 – A Weyauwega woman reported a suspicious blue pickup with no license plates parked on Evanswood Road.

• Dec. 9 – An unknown caller reported the death of a man in his 70s. He had pneumonia and Lou Gehrig’s disease.

• Dec. 9 – A Weyauwega man on County Trunk X reported a door that is usually locked was open upon return from work. His yellow lab was missing.

• Dec. 9 – A Minnesota woman requested a welfare check on her niece who sent out a message to other family members stating that she “can’t take this anymore.”

• Dec. 9 – A Fremont woman on Sand View Drive reported one shotgun, one 9mm handgun and another handgun were missing from her vehicle.

• Dec. 9 – Wally World Tavern in Waupaca reported parents left their child in the car for more than an hour while they were inside drinking.

• Dec. 10 – A Clintonville woman on Motor Street reported another woman punched her while she was playing pool.

• Dec. 10 – A Manawa caller on Pin Oak Road reported a large group of people at the boat landing who were possibly shooting fireworks.

• Dec. 10 – A Weyauwega caller on Second Street reported a suspicious vehicle backed into the garage of a man who recently passed away.

• Dec. 10 – A Waupaca caller reported a man had been drinking all day and now had a shotgun muzzle in his mouth. He was upset with life and that no one cares.

• Dec. 10 – The Waupaca Kwik Trip on Fulton Street reported a man was passed out in his red Pontiac for the last two hours. They tried to wake him up. He opened his eyes and then closed them.

• Dec. 11 – A Waupaca caller on King Road reported his mailbox was hit by a vehicle the night before.

• Dec. 11 – A Waupaca caller on East Road reported her mailbox was struck by a silver car missing a mirror and a fog light. It was heading south towards Spencer Lake Road.

• During this period there were far less deer-auto collisions than the past month. There were many controlled burns reported. A New London woman was bitten by a friend’s dog. A rabid raccoon was reported.
