Nathaniel “Ghoku” Soon Kim, 27, passed away Wednesday October 26, 2022, in California.
He was born in Elk Grove Village, Illinois on July 15, 1995 to his parents Myong Kim and Jean Evilsizor. He was a father (Marisa) to Milani and a brother to one sister (Alison) and four brothers (Taylor, Taren, Hogan, and Hovin).
Nathan graduated high school at Almond-Bancroft in 2013. Just shortly after, Nathan moved to California and loved living there.
Nathan lived the Bob Marley life. “Love the life you live. Live the life you love.” Nathan lived the high life out in California, enjoying that sunshine. He loved hanging out with friends, skateboarding, and of course, being next to the ocean.
He worked in valet parking for years and even drove Beyonce’s car. He also worked in business selling shirts.
Nathaniel is survived by his parents Myong (Mi Jin) Kim and Jean Evilsizor; his daughter Milani Kim; his sister Alison (Michael) Evilsizor-King; his brothers Taylor (Michaela) Kim, Taren Evilsizor-Siem, Hogan Kim, and Hovin Kim; his nephews Silas and Sarecen Evilsizor-King; and his nieces Novalee, Braleigh, Renesse, and Roryella Evilsizor-King; his Uncle Ho and Aunt Chris Kim; his cousins Elim and Noah Kim; his girlfriend Marisa and her family Carra and Ashton; and friends.
He rests eternally with his step-father, Dennis Siem; his grandfather Kyong Kim; his great grandfather Paul Evilsizor and great grandmother Jennie Evilsizor.
A private ceremony will be held to celebrate his life.
