Spring 2023 concert planned

Wisconsin Singers will again take the stage in Clintonville next year.

Talented vocalists, dancers and musicians from the University of Wisconsin-Madison are slated to perform at 7 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2023, at the Clintonville High School auditorium.

This year’s show is called, “Something’s Coming!’

“Come enjoy the thrill of live music with decades of American pop, jazz, rock and Broadway hits in 90-minutes of non-stop energy,” said Clintonville native Emma Zwirschitz, a singer/dancer with the troupe.

Covering more than 40 songs in their fast-paced show, the Wisconsin Singers highlight some of the music industry’s most popular artists like Prince and Katy Perry, as well as movies like “Footloose” and Disney’s “Encanto.”

The ensemble will perform award-winning Broadway musicals such as “West Side Story” and “Moulin Rouge.”

Badger fans will have the opportunity to sing along to Fifth Quarter classics like “On Wisconsin,”, “Varsity” and “Jump Around.”

“‘Something’s Coming!’ is guaranteed terrific entertainment for the whole family,” said Zwirschitz.

Zwirschitz is in her second year as a singer/dancer in the 30-member troupe of performers.

The show is being sponsored by the Clintonville Lions in partnership with the Clntonville High School Music Department as a fundraiser for both.

“We’re thrilled to be hosting the Wisconsin Singers for an up-beat, unforgettable, entertaining night,” said Lowell Easley, Clintonville Lions secretary and chairperson of the committee planning for the show.

Planning the many details for the show began last August, Easley said.

Advance tickets are $15 for adults (age 19 and older), $10 for seniors (age 65 and older), $5 for students (age 18 and younger). All tickets are for general admission.

Easley noted that the last three Singers shows in Clintonville were sellouts. He encourages early purchase of tickets to avoid a last-minute disappointment. He also said any available tickets purchased at the door the night of the show will $5.00 more for each category.

Tickets for the Singers will go on sale locally beginning Tuesday, Jan. 3.

In Clintonville, tickets will be sold at Tadych’s Market Foods, B&H Fashionwear, Erickson, Clintonville Area Chamber of Commerce, Clintonville High School office; in Marion at Marion Advertiser; In Shawano at Charlie’s Country Market.

Tickets may also be purchased online on the eventbrite.com website, starting Jan. 3
