Bonduel girls wins in Iola

The Iola-Scandinavia girls’ basketball team dropped out of first place in the Central Wisconsin Conference-East standings Jan. 13 following a 51-36 home loss to Bonduel.

Iola-Scandinavia also handed Shiocton a 47-25 loss Jan. 10.

Bonduel 51, Iola-Scandinavia 36

The Thunderbirds had an early lead in the game, but the Bears headed to the locker room at halftime with a 25-20 lead.

Bonduel added to its lead with a 26-16 scoring advantage in the second half.

Lillian Fuhs led the T-Birds with 16 points and Jaelyn Sivertson added 10. Kendra Troxel led Bonduel with 15 points.

Iola-Scandinavia 47, Shiocton 35

The T-Birds had only one player score in double figures, but did enough to get a win over the Chiefs.

Madeline Much led all scorers with 15 points.

The T-Birds outscored the home team 22-14 in the first half and 25-21 in the second.

Iola-Scandinavia hosted Port Edwards Jan. 17 before hosting Menominee Indian Thursday, Jan. 19.
