Waupaca County sheriff’s report April 2

• March 27 – A Manawa caller on State Highway 22-110 reported his neighbor’s dog tried to attack his chickens and his dog. He said it was an ongoing problem.

• March 27 – A Clintonville caller on Laude Road reported someone drove a truck through a ditch and damaged his property.

• March 27 – New London’s school transportation department reported a vehicle passed a bus when the stop-arm was extended.

• March 27 – A Waupaca caller on Shirley Court reported he was being harassed by his brother and “freaked out at home.”

• March 27 – A Waupaca caller on Cali Way reported hearing a loud boom and smoke coming from a shed in the distance.

• March 28 – A Scandinavia man on Nottleson Road reported that a gray Ram truck with a loud exhaust drives southbound to State Highway 10 at a high rate of speed and doesn’t stop for stop signs. This occurs between noon and 2 p.m.

• March 28 – Fletch’s Corner Store in Embarrass reported a person pumping gas into a red Chevy truck. The person smelled of alcohol, wore no shoes and the right foot looked bloody.

• March 28 – An anonymous caller reported a “short larger male named Carl who is possibly mentally disturbed” was chasing a loose dog and tried to kick it.

• March 28 – A Clintonville caller on First Street reported someone trespassed onto her property. There were tracks around the shed and near the windows.

• March 28 – An Ogdensburg man on Kriese Road some of his belongings were stolen at his address. The conversation took place in the jail booking room.

• March 28 – An unknown caller reported ongoing issues with trespassers who shot things into her walls. She had company over at the time and they got sick and had to go outside.

• March 29 – An Ogdensburg man reported he believed his wife was planning on overdosing.

• March 29 – An Appleton woman who works at a local gas station reported a woman has been harassing her for about a month. She blocked her number but the woman was “still trying to track her down.”

• March 29 – An unknown caller requested an ambulance for an infant who was not breathing.

• March 29 – A Weyauwega man on Hatton Road reported a person was at his residence claiming to be from Portage County. The person wanted to enter and take his children. The caller was not letting the person in and requested an officer.

• March 29 – A Clintonville man on Hemlock Street reported a farm sign at the end of his driveway was recently stolen.

• March 31 – A Waupaca woman on Berlin Street reported a truck drove into a ditch and damaged a culvert.

• March 31 – The Clintonville Police Department requested assistance to a situation where one employee was threatening to shoot another.

• March 31 – A New London man on Everts Road reported a raccoon went behind his garbage can, laid down, curled up and then stood up and stared at him. He requested an officer to come over and shoot it.

• March 31 – A 911 caller reported a possible overdose. The person was kind of conscious but breathing was unknown.

• March 31- An unknown caller reported his friend was trying to fight him and his girlfriend.

• April 1 – An Iola woman on State Highway 49 reported her black GMC Envoy was flipped over in the ditch. The windshield was smashed and airbags were deployed. She declined an ambulance.

• April 1 – A Wild Rose woman on Long Lake Road requested a welfare check for a man who said he was going to harm himself.

• April 1 – New London Police Department reported a suicidal man in a Dodge Durango heading towards Northport.

• April 1 – A Waupaca man on Lamplighter Lane reported his son was alone when the family went to Appleton. When they came home, the place smelled like smoke. The son would not admit to what happened until they found some burnt material.

• April 1- A New London woman on Larry Road reported a strange man on their property. He was in his 50s and wearing red and blue flannel and jeans. He was extremely intoxicated and walking towards Tank Road.

• April 1 – An employee at the Northport Convenience Store near New London reported closing the store and there was a suspicious car in the parking lot that had been there for 30 minutes.

• April 2 – Crossroads Care Center in Weyauwega reported an agitated resident who was delusional and cutting her arms with her fingernails.

• April 2 – An anonymous caller reported a New London woman who was paranoid and delusional. She was armed with a handgun and a long gun and believed a woman and her thugs were at her house the night before trying to kill her.

• April 2 – McDonald’s in Waupaca reported a suicidal male who tried to jump in front of a car.

• April 2 – A Weyauwega man on Main Street reported a suspicious man entering a building.

• April 2 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a juvenile assaulted four staff members.

• April 2 – An anonymous caller reported a suspicious vehicle near Euhardy’s Sales in New London.

• There were below average number of deer-auto collisions during this period. There were a handful of controlled burns reported.
