Waupaca County sheriff’s report April 16

• April 17 – A Waupaca man in Whispering Pines Road reported a suspicious vehicle parked in the yard with a broken mirror and dented back bumper. No one was inside the vehicle and it seemed like it was parked there the night before.

• April 17 – A New London woman on Ferry Street reported her granddaughter ran away. Her mother dropped her off the night before and she left in the middle of the night.

• April 17 – A 911 caller requested an ambulance for his 60-year-old hallucinating wife. He stated she had a history of drinking.

• April 17 – A 911 caller requested an ambulance for a man who “wiped out on his bike.” His injuries were unknown.

• April 17 – A 911 caller reported a silver vehicle on fire near County Trunk T and Buelow Road in the town of Lebanon.

• April 17 – An Ogdensburg woman reported a juvenile cut her arm because she was upset her mother took away her phone. She has cut herself in the past.

• April 17 – A New London woman on Paradise Court reported she was with a boy and her son. The father of the boy was one his way to pick him up. The boy said his father was mean to him and gave him a bloody nose in the past.

• April 17 – A Waupaca woman on State Highway 54 reported her daughter ran away.

• April 17 – An Ogdensburg woman on State Highway 161 reported seeing flames near the gas tanks at the county highway department facility.

• April 17 – A Waupaca woman on Hodgett Road reported two Rottweilers were on her back deck. She said they had been aggressive in a previous encounter.

• April 18 – A Weyauwega woman on Bigalke Road reported a suspicious vehicle parked down the road by the bridge. It had been there since the weekend. The license plates expired in 2014.

• April 18 – Canadian National railroad reported 150 gallons of engine oil was spilled on CN property. The leak was contained and contractors were on the way to clean it up.

• April 18 – A cellphone caller requested a welfare check on a 91-year-old man who hadn’t been seen in a week. His mail was piling up.

• April 18 – A Waupaca man on Whispering Pines Road reported a case of contractor fraud.

• April 18 – Kolbe Vinyl Window in Manawa requested an ambulance for a vomiting woman.

• April 18 – An anonymous caller reported finding syringes on County Trunk G.

• April 18 – An Ogdensburg woman on Murray Road reported a woman locked herself in the house and was screaming.

• April 18 – Crime Stoppers reported a man driving with a revoked license.

• April 18 – Waupaca Health and Human Services reported a person made suicidal comments while at an emergency room.

• April 18 – A Fremont woman on Waupaca Street reported a nonverbal neighbor boy showed up at her home. He was around 5 years old. She believed his mother was unaware he was missing.

• April 18 – Weyauwega Fire Department reported a silo fire that would be burning for a few days.

• April 18 – A Waupaca woman on Dayton Road reported being scammed by a person claiming to represent Microsoft. Charges were made to her credit card.

• April 18 – A Stevens Point woman reported her boyfriend hit her in the ribs and she couldn’t breathe. She was in Waupaca at River Ridge Apartments.

• April 19 – The Veteran Crisis Line requested an ambulance for an 81-year-old man who fell in his kitchen, hit his head on the counter and lost consciousness. The man was conscious now but still on the floor.

• April 19 – A female caller reported she got a tattoo a few days ago in Wausau. The wife of the tattoo artist threatened her over the phone and on Instagram. The wife had a video of the caller naked while at the tattoo parlor.

• April 19 – A Marion woman on Herzburg Road reported someone made a campfire on her property the night before. Beer cans were left behind. On April 14 they reported that someone had entered their house.

• April 20 – Westley Cooling and Heating in Scandinavia reported someone was doing doughnuts in their parking lot and possibly dealing drugs during the night and early morning hours.

• April 20 – A Wauwatosa man reported his neighbor took down his deer stand and kept it. He wanted to get it back.

• April 20 – A Weyauwega man on Baldwin Road requested an officer’s presence. A woman wanted him to leave the house. He was willing to go but he needed time to gather his things. He was hoping an officer would help keep things civil.

• April 20 – A Clintonville man on River Road reported two turkey hunters on land they did not have permission to be on.

• April 20 – Rawhide Youth Service reported a juvenile runaway that ran into the woods heading east wearing a black T-shirt and khaki pants.

• April 20 – A Waupaca man on Kristin Lane reported a suspicious truck with clearance lights on the roof that kept driving back and forth by his house. They shined a flashlight at his house.

• April 20 – A Waupaca caller on Crystal Lake Road reported he wanted his nephew to move out his house. He did not feel safe. A gun was involved.

• April 21 – A Waupaca man on Catherine Way reported a suspicious vehicle. He spoke with the driver and his answers were odd.

• April 21 – A Clintonville man on Buckbee Road reported the illegal burning of trash.

• April 21 – A Manawa woman on Cemetery Road reported a scam that involved the purchase of a tractor from Arizona.

• April 21 – A Manawa woman on Diane Court reported buying a tablet from Facebook marketplace. The tablet was locked. They contacted Amazon and they informed the caller it was stolen.

• April 21 – A Waupaca woman on State 54 reported a female runaway.

• April 21- A female caller reported her brother-in-law was a heavy drinker that had strokes in the past. She spoke with him and he wasn’t making sense. He made comments in the past that he wanted to die.

• April 21 – Schueller’s Great Exspechtations reported a disorderly situation where a person smashed the window of another patron’s vehicle.

• April 21 – A Pine River woman on Middleton Street reported a 50-60 year old man came to her window and peeked in her house. She had a video of it. He wore glasses, a black sweatshirt and jeans. He left in a silver SUV.

• April 22 – A Marion woman on Circle J Road requested an ambulance for an elderly man possible having seizures. He was unconscious.

• April 22 – A Fremont man on Oak Street reported a woman struck him in the face. She was now in a vehicle with his brother, heading back to her place in Manawa.

• April 22 – A Waupaca man on Oak Street reported someone stole some money and keys form his car.

• April 22 – Dollar General in Fremont reported a shoplifter on camera who went through self-checkout. The person only paid for some of the items.

• April 22 – The Wisconsin Veterans Home reported one resident punched another resident in the chest in the dementia unit. Neither has recollection of it.

• April 22 – A Waupaca caller on Main Street requested a welfare check on a woman that she was speaking with on the phone. She said the woman told her, “I can’t do this anymore,” then the phone went silent.

• April 22 – A Waupaca woman at Westgate Acres reported a female juvenile runaway who left on foot wearing a green sweatshirt and flannel pajama bottoms.

• April 22 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a juvenile runaway.

• April 22- A Waupaca woman on Fifth Street reported two men were fighting in her house and destroying some things.

• April 22 – A female caller requested a welfare check on a woman who texted a message the day before she was depressed. Now the woman could not be reached.

• There were an average number of deer-auto collisions during this period. There were 19 controlled burns reported. A semi driver reported hitting a wild turkey. A golden-doodle and a Labrador retriever were reported running loose in a ditch. Two black Angus cows were reported in a roadway. A Clintonville man reported he crashed his vehicle into a horse in the roadway.
