Gielow, Dennis

Dennis Gielow, age 76, New London, was called to his Heavenly home on May 24, 2023.

Dennis was born in Manitowoc on April 6, 1947 to Rolland and Margaret (Behnke) Gielow. He graduated from New London High School in 1965 and went on to complete the farming short course at UW-Madison. Dennis was united in marriage to Sandra (Sandi) Ebert on May 20, 1967 at Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville. He was all about family – the family farming business, and time spent with his big and boisterous family, including summers filled with nightly baseball games.

Dennis is survived by his children children Dawn (Jeff) Klatt, Ann (Eric) Pinch, Kay (Jeff) Hutchison, Joy (Pete) Zuidmulder, John Gielow (partner Jody), and Scott Gielow; grandchildren Krysta (Ryan) Dickie and Alyssa (Ethan) Garner, Jacob (Hannah) Pinch and Kasey Pinch (fiancé Ryan), Brett (Bridget) Hutchison and Chase Hutchison (partner Isabelle), and Colton Zuidmulder; and great-grandchildren Tyson and Kiyah Garner, Landon Dickie, Maggie Hutchison, plus two babies soon to arrive. He is further survived by brother Dwain (Kay), a brother-in-law Ken (Shari) Ebert, sister-in-law Joan Ebert-Dammeir, and many nieces and nephews.

Dennis is preceded in death by his beloved wife Sandi and son Todd. He will also be greeted in heaven by many other precious family members.

Dennis’ funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 11am at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London with Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9am until the time of the service. Dennis’s family would like to thank the many people that surrounded him with love and laughter throughout his lifetime, and especially over the last several years. Special thanks go out to the staff at St. Joseph’s Residence and Unity Hospice for brightening his days. He was very blessed to have many wonderful people in his life.
