Waupaca County sheriff’s report June 2

• May 26 – A Waupaca caller on Apple Tree Lane reported he owns a billboard near Fleet Farm and some steel was removed from it.

• May 26 – A Fremont caller on Justin Trail took a picture of his neighbor’s dog when it approached him in a non-aggressive manner. He told the dog owner about this and the owner yelled and swore at him.

• May 26 – An Ogdensburg caller on Washington Street reported someone opened his mail and stole prescription medications.

• May 26 – An Ogdensburg caller on County Trunk K received a text saying goodbye to him and “I do love you. I wish things were different.” The woman who sent the text had depression, suicidal ideations and tried to overdose before, he said.

• May 26 – A New London caller on Wyman Street reported a neighbor will come over while he is working on his property to see what he was doing. The caller told him not to come over but the neighbor won’t listen.

• May 26 – A Menasha woman requested an ambulance for a 1-year-old child who was cold and in a wet jacket from being on the river.

• May 26 – A Weyauwega caller on Alfreds Road reported having a video of a truck with a topper entering her driveway and someone going into her garage.

• May 26 – The Wisconsin Veterans Home reported one resident kicked another resident.

• May 26 – A Waupaca caller on Main Street reported that a man said he was going to kill himself. He tried hanging himself in the front yard a couple weeks ago.

• May 26 – A Waupaca caller on Tower Road reported a man was stuck 12 feet up in a tree with his cat.

• May 27 – A Waupaca woman on County Trunk E reported an 18-year-old may have overdosed on acid.

• May 27 – McDonald’s in Waupaca reported three teenagers in a silver Volkswagen who were slurring their words and could barely pull the vehicle forward.

• May 27 – Crime Stoppers reported two youth caused property damage near Haase and Bartel roads.

• May 27 – A Bear Creek caller on Bells Corner Road reported having video footage of a vehicle doing donuts and spraying gravel on his property. It is an ongoing problem, he said.

• May 27 – A Weyauwega caller on Galilee Road reported his cat was shot in the jaw and he had to put his cat down. He had video of a vehicle involved.

• May 27 – An unknown caller reported an ATV crashed into a barn.

• May 27 – A Waupaca woman on Doe Hill Lane reported a disoriented man was trying to leave in his vehicle. He had been drinking.

• May 27 – A 911 caller reported a camper was dragging gas cans down the road. They were sparking and the trail of gasoline ignited and started the road on fire.

• May 27 – An unknown caller reported receiving a text message about a person’s plant to hang his or herself. The text came from the Clintonville area.

• May 27 – A Bonduel reported a child was choked by a father. She wanted to meet with police at the Clintonville Kwik Trip.

• May 27 – Lifeline Medical Alert Systems reported a person had two ropes, one to hang herself and another to cut off her oxygen.
• May 27 – A female caller reported an intoxicated male may have passed out in a lane of traffic.

• May 28 – An Iola man on Mud Lake Road reported someone was shooting off explosives, shotguns and “maybe an M-16.”

• May 28 – A Waupaca woman on Whispering Pines Road reported vehicles with trailers were parked along the road near the boat launch and causing a traffic hazard.

• May 28 – A male caller reported a Hispanic man in a white Foard SUV threw something at his vehicle leaving a dent.

• May 28 – An unknown caller reported a grass fire in a ditch.

• May 29 – An anonymous caller reported the “coyotes and lions are being loud” and could hear them from Weyauwega city limits.

• May 29 – A Scandinavia man reported a man was driving up and down his dead-end street for the purposes of harassing him.

• May 29 – A Waupaca woman on Wiliams Drive reported her neighbor’s dog tried to attack her dog again.

• May 29 – A 911 caller reported a possible rattlesnake that was 3.5 to 4 feet long on her porch.

• May 29 – A Clintonville woman on Lakeshore Road reported a suicical man that sent her a photo of a pistol.

• May 29 – A Manawa woman on Deer Lane reported her daughter was screaming and was striking her while she was on the phone.

• May 29 – An anonymous caller reported a schizophrenic man left his mother’s residence in New London while hearing voices. He said he was going to kill everyone who had been gas lighting him.

• May 29 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a juvenile runaway who barricaded his door before he left and someone may have picked him up.

• May 30 – Digger’s Hotline requested a police escort for utility locators who had previous problems with a property owner.

• May 30 – Wolf River Campground in New London reported a male camper was lighting off half sticks of dynamite.

• May 30 – A woman reported she was scammed out of money via Facebook.

• May 30 – A man reported he owned hunting blinds that were on another person’s property. The property was purchased and the new owner is keeping the blinds.

• May 30 – A New London woman on Pearl Street lives with her husband at her grandfather’s house. The grandfather has a lady friend who visits and is loud and obnoxious.

• May 30 – A New London man on Huntley Road reported a woman hit him in the face with her purse and took off in his vehicle that she did not have permission to drive.

• May 30 – Camp Young Judea requested extra patrol because of profanities written on a whiteboard.

• May 30 – A Waupaca caller on Conifer Drive reported a woman was sending him harassing texts while he was at his girlfriend’s house.
• May 30 – A Marion caller on Main Street reported someone put boulders in his hay field.

• May 30 – An anonymous caller reported children living in a shed and nobody seemed to be taking care of them.

• May 31 – A Fremont woman on Puuri Road reported a fire that started in the garage and a loss of power.

• May 31 – A caller reported he was upset and wants to beat up his landlord.

• May 31 – All Temperature Systems in Waupaca reported getting a counterfeit $100 check.

• May 31 – Rawhide Youth Service reported one student put a pencil down another student’s pants and underwear.

• May 31 – A Waupaca woman on Crestview Lane reported piles of garbage at the end of a neighbor’s driveway.

• May 31 – An employee at the Wisconsin Veterans Home reported she had received harassing phone messages from people in Chicago.

• May 31 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a juvenile runaway who left on a bike.

• June 1 – A Waupaca caller on Charles Wright Drive reported a man running around with no clothes on.

• June 1 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a juvenile was off campus and smoking on private property.

• June 1 – A Weyauwega caller on Frontage Road reported he was threatened by a person named the “Tin Man.”

• June 1 – A Waupaca caller on Marion Lane reported a power line in contact with a tree branch. It was sparking and there was a fire on the ground.

• June 1 – An unknown caller reported his 13-year-old son received messages from an unknown person on Instagram requesting money and threatening to spread pictures around the school.

• June 2 – A Wisconsin Rapids caller reported hearing a man and woman screaming “way back in the woods.” The woman was yelling for “Travis.”

• The water patrol stopped 28 boats during this period. There were eight controlled burns called in. There were four different reports of cattle running loose. A caller reported a horse running loose. A Corgi dog was reported running loose and dragging a leash. There were two different complaints of cow manure and horse manure on the road. A cat bite was reported occurring at at a Waupaca-area campground and a separate dog bite was reported. A driver struck a wild turkey that caused enough damage to require an insurance claim. A sheriff’s deputy cleared the road of a snapping turtle.
