Emergency personnel, vehicles at rodeo grounds
The third annual Meet the Fleet will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, at the Manawa Rodeo Grounds.
Visitors can see and climb into squad cars, fire trucks, ambulances, tow truck, swat vehicle, race cars, monster trucks, dump trucks and tractors.
Other activities include a fire extinguisher simulator, K9 demonstrations and a ThedaStar helicopter landing at 5 p.m. (availability and weather permitting).
Dunk a cop and children’s activities are also planned.
This family event is free and it offers an opportunity to meet the community’s law enforcement, firefighters, first responders and emergency workers.
“We have received so much positive feedback from this event”, said event organizer Deputy Justin Malueg. “To be able to build so many amazing relationships with not only the citizens and our youth, but also with our fellow officers and first responders, is such an awesome thing to see and be a part of.”
Food will be available by the Manawa Lion’s Club.
