She will preside over Scandinavia Corn Roast

Lillian Fuhs has been selected as the 2023 Fire Queen for the upcoming Scandinavia Corn Roast.
Fuhs, 18, is the daughter of Bryan and Stephanie Fuhs of Scandinavia.
“I am honored to take on this tradition as a family member of a firefighter,” she said. “I have been involved in the department since I was a little girl and the people on the department become more like family.”
This year’s Corn Roast is scheduled for Friday to Sunday, Aug. 4-6.
“The biggest thing about it is that it brings everyone in the community together,” Fuhs said.
A 2023 graduate of Iola-Scandinavia High School, Fuhs is heading to the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh to major in nursing.
“Some of my long-term goals are to always help people in need and raise a family in a supportive community like the one I grew up in,” she said.
