Waupaca County sheriff’s report Aug. 27

  • Aug. 21 – A Waupaca woman reported there was a man staying on the hill behind her house and she wanted him removed.
  • Aug. 21 – A Weyauwega caller on State Highway 110 reported a male damaged property, was running from parents and was out of control.
  • Aug. 21 – A Bear Creek man on Silver Creek Road reported a landlord that tried to gain entry to the house without giving notice.
  • Aug. 21 – A Florida man owns a local storage space and reported a suspicious truck nearby.
  • Aug. 21 – A New London woman on Oakwood Lane reported her name was signed on loan paperwork in Appleton.
  • Aug. 21 – A Manawa woman on Little Creek Road reported her neighbor found a dead male body. He had been there while and was stiff. There was a Ford truck nearby.
  • Aug. 21 – A 911 caller reported animal neglect. Her neighbor’s cat was hit by a car and was covered with fleas.
  • Aug. 21 – A Waupaca woman on Woodland Circle reported a suspicious unoccupied Chevy Tahoe with a boat trailer parked on their property.
  • Aug. 21 – A Waupaca caller on Akron Lane reported her husband wants her out of the house because she has an alcohol problem and he wants her to go to Florida for treatment.
  • Aug. 21 – a caller reported a Jet Ski floating on Columbia Lake.
  • Aug. 22 – A Waupaca caller on Otter Drive reported a suspicious man following her while she was out running.
  • Aug. 22 – A New London woman on State Highway 54 requested a welfare check on a new born baby. The family was living in a shack-like structure with no electricity or running water.
  • Aug. 22 – A New London caller on Tank Road reported he was drugged. He was golfing at Glacier Woods the day before and woke up in a ditch this morning.
  • Aug. 23 – An Ogdensburg caller on County Trunk E reported a suspicious black truck that was parked nearby overnight with skid marks leading up to it.
  • Aug. 23 – A Greenville caller reported his father called him and told him that his wife took his truck the night before and has not returned. The woman has dementia.
  • Aug. 23 – Milwaukee Police Dept. requested help locating a 2017 blue GMC Sierra involved in a hit-and-run case.
  • Aug. 23 – A New London woman on Stage Road reported that she has trespassers in her yard day and night for the past three years. They arrive in two shifts: 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. There are holes in her house and she believes they are in the nearby woods.
  • Aug. 23 – A Weyauwega caller on County Trunk F reported ATVs were driving on property where they were not supposed to be and kicking up gravel.
  • Aug. 23 – An anonymous caller reported a man and woman screaming at each other and a young child was involved.
  • Aug. 23 – A Waupaca caller on County Trunk K reported a woman screaming, “Help me,” and a man saying he needs help. He said the woman has been drinking.
  • Aug. 24 – Aurora Behavioral reported they have a 96-year-old man on the line who said he does not want to live anymore. He said he looked up ways to end his life and he possibly has weapons.
  • Aug. 24 – A New London caller on Spring Street reported a missing brother-in-law who left for Milwaukee with a woman.
  • Aug. 24 – A 911 caller reported a semi truck with its rear wheels on fire with lots of smoke and flames.
  • Aug. 24 – A Waupaca caller on Meadow Lane reported a man with a history of suicidal attempts made comments about harming himself. He went out to the shed, has access to weapons and had been drinking.
  • Aug. 25 – Woolsey Plumbing and Heating in Waupaca reported customer money was intercepted by someone posing as their business. The money was wired to a Chase Bank in California. About $12,000 of the customer’s money was stolen.
  • Aug. 25 – A Plover caller requested a welfare check on a juvenile because there was no running water in the house.
  • Aug. 25 – A Waupaca caller on Holmes Road reported someone opened a bank account in his name with an IP address indicating Ann Arbor, Michigan.
  • Aug. 25 – A Weyauwega caller on Zabel Road reported his wife found a bag of what appears to be marijuana.

  • e man on Beaver Creek Road reported a bearded man and a one-armed man in a side-by-side UTV tore up the field next to him and another neighbor’s field.
  • Aug. 25 – A Weyauwega caller on Reek Road reported his intoxicated girlfriend called him and told him she was going to pick up a friend. The caller warned she should not be driving.
  • Aug. 26 – An Ogdensburg caller on County Trunk B reported her mailbox was smashed, along with several others. After this call, 14 other calls came in about busted mailboxes.
  • Aug. 26 – An Iola caller on West Hill Road reported a woman was on her property demanding her things back. They purchased the house two years ago and disposed of the belongings. The woman warned that she was an ex-warden and “they will have trouble.”
  • Aug. 26 – A Fremont caller County Trunk W reported someone dropped off a cart at their farm and she thought it might be stolen.
  • Aug. 26 – A Bear Creek caller on Center Road reported neighbors were shooting off fireworks and it’s been ongoing since the Fourth of July.
  • Aug. 26 – A Weyauwega caller on Zastrow Road reported a man walking down the roadway with two backpacks and asking strange questions. He seemed confused.
  • Aug. 26 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a suspicious gray Liberty Jeep on their property.
  • Aug. 26 – A Waupaca caller on School Street reported a man and a woman were fighting. There was blood but no ambulance was needed.
  • Aug. 26 – A Waupaca caller on King Road reported a man looked through her window and ran across the street.
  • Aug. 26 – Waupaca Mobil on Fulton Street reported some people came in and took some canned food and left in a white Ford Expedition.
  • Aug. 27 – An Iola caller on State Street reported there were “weird business people from Wausau and Manawa there and they are practicing religion with pebbles and glass and making him uncomfortable.”
  • Aug. 27 – A Marion caller on Meyer Street reported she came out of a bar and her tires were slashed.
  • Aug. 27 – Mitchell Automotive reported a man in the parking lot asking everyone for a ride.
  • Aug. 27 – A Stevens Point caller reported she was at a wedding the night before and a woman punched her in the face.
  • Aug. 27 – The Wisconsin Veterans Home reported a male resident slapped a female resident. Both have dementia and don’t remember it happening.
  • Aug. 27 – An unknown caller requested an ambulance for a 73-year-old intoxicated woman who was unresponsive and semi-conscious.
  • The water patrol stopped 12 boats and six controlled burns were called in. A New London man was bitten by the family dog. ThedaCare in New London reported that a dog bit a juvenile. An anonymous caller reported a dog locked in a black Chevy Silverado. A deputy assisted a turtle across the road.
