Construction in Waupaca and Outagamie counties
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will hold a public meeting to discuss highway projects on U.S. 45 from Givens Road to Church Road and State 54 from West Jeanne Street and County Trunk S near New London in Waupaca and Outagamie counties.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 24, at the Community/Senior Center (inside the Washington Center) 600 W. Washington St., New London.
A brief presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by an open house where residents can ask questions.
For the U.S. 45 project, work includes replacing the pavement, upgrading the guardrail, and completing curb and gutter replacements as needed.
For the State 54 project, work includes replacing the pavement, installing new traffic signal infrastructure at the State 54 and County D intersection, upgrading curb ramps to ADA standards at the State 54 and County D intersection, repairing and replacing storm sewer as needed, and replacing curb and gutter as needed.
The public may also go to the project website after the meeting to review a handout and map of the work area and submit digital comments.
Construction currently is scheduled to begin in 2026.
