T-Birds on all-conference teams

Not only did Iola-Scandinavia’s football team win a Central Wisconsin Conference-Small championship this season, the Thunderbirds also had the league’s offensive player and coach of the year.
CWC-Small coaches named sophomore quarterback Jensen Rice as offensive player of the year. He is one of several Iola-Scandinavia players to receive all-conference recognition.
Joining Rice on the first team are senior Weston Knorr (inside linebacker); juniors Ryan Doede (offensive and defensive lineman), Brian Krosberg (offensive lineman) and Kyrylo Kopytsia (defensive back); and freshmen Korz Loken (tight end and outside linebacker) and Alex Robbins wide receiver).
The second team includes Knorr (offensive lineman); Kopytsia (running back); juniors Billy Myers (inside linebacker) and Grant Fredy (outside linebacker); and sophomore Charlie Tappa (defensive back).
Sophomore Owen Wolberg made the honorable mention team as an offensive lineman.
Iola-Scandinavia’s Scott Erickson was named coach of the year.
