Posted

“Lagers and Loggers” will be held from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the historic Pfiffner Building, 401 Franklin St., Stevens Point.

Evening highlights feature bluegrass music by Art Stevenson and Dale Reichert, axe-throwing with Section 715, beers from Point Brewery and food from On Point Catering at UW-Stevens Point.

Proceeds will support the Portage County Historical Society’s educational programs and preservation initiatives.

Flannel attire is encouraged and guests must be age 21 or older. “I always say that this is the anti-black tie gala event,” says PCHS Executive Director John Harry, “This laid back fundraising event is a memorable staple of many folk’s fall calendars and just might be the most fun you’ve had at a nonprofit fundraising event.”

This is this event’s third year and tickets have sold out every year, so early purchase is recommended.

Individual tickets cost $80.03 for historical society members and $85.29 for nonmembers.

Event sponsors incluide The Boldt Company, TDS Telecom, KPR Brokers, Heartland Custom Homes and Point Brewery.
