Waupaca County sheriff’s report Dec. 10

  • Dec. 4 – A female caller reported the wife of a registered sex offender tailgated her and drove up next to her. Both of them are not supposed to have any contact with the caller.
  • Dec. 4 – A Waupaca caller on County Trunk A reported there were threatening messages on Facebook with an intention to stall and interfere with a meeting at the Lind Town Hall.
  • Dec. 4 – An unknown caller who is a listing agent for a rental property reported a fraud. A male was impersonating the landlord of the property.
  • Dec. 4 – The Aging and Disability Resource Center requested a welfare check on a man who did not answer the door when Meals on Wheels stopped by his residence.
  • Dec. 4 – A Manawa caller on Island Road reported a man stays in his camper near Silver Lake and is usually gone by this time of year. However, the man’s purple Ford F150 hasn’t moved in a month.
  • Dec. 4 – An Iola caller on Carper Road requested an ambulance for a 61-year-old man with heart attack symptoms.
  • Dec. 4 – A Waupaca caller on Melody Lane reported there was a man in his 30s or 40s inside of her house wearing a pink shirt and then he went outside.
  • Dec. 5 – A Weyauwega caller on Haire Road reported a white SUV drove past the school bus when the lights were flashing and the stop sign was extended. She had a video of the incident.
  • Dec. 5 – A Manawa caller on State Highway 22 reported a suspicious person on their property.
  • Dec. 5 – An Ogdensburg caller currently in jail reported a trespassing complaint that involved two men going to his address and going through his mail and rifling through his garbage.
  • Dec. 6 – A Manawa caller on Depot Street reported the theft of his ball hitch. He thought it might be related to thefts at the Thresheree grounds.
  • Dec. 6 – A New London caller on State Highway 54 reported an encounter with burgundy Chevy Silverado and a person threatened to shoot his family.
  • Dec. 6 – A New London caller on State Highway 45 reported her son took some money and jewelry that once belonged to her late mother.
  • Dec. 6 – A New London caller on Rawhide Road reported a juvenile runaway.
  • Dec. 6 – Statewide Recovery Specialists reported they were repossessing a Smokercraft boat.
  • Dec. 7 – A juvenile caller reported a missing juvenile. People and neighbors were searching for the person.
  • Dec. 7 – ACR Repo reported they were repossessing a 2015 Chevy Equinox and another vehicle.
  • Dec. 8 – A 911 caller reported a house on fire on State Highway 54 near Royalton.
  • Dec. 8 – A Waupaca woman on Holbach Street reported a man with a gun was threatening to kill himself over Snapchat.
  • Dec. 8 – An Amherst man on Second Street reported a woman was throwing things and pushed the caller. She stormed out of the house and was sitting in a car in the driveway.
  • Dec. 8 – A Waupaca caller on Melody Lane reported nonstop screaming and yelling from a house on the corner.
  • Dec. 9 – A 911 caller requested an ambulance for a 44-year-old woman who fell and hit her head. She was slowly regaining consciousness and breathing.
  • Dec. 9 – A caller reported a 33-year-old woman had overdosed on an unknown substance. She was barely conscious and breathing.
  • Dec. 9 – A 911 caller reported three people were standing outside of a smoking vehicle near State Highway 10 and Peters Road.
  • Dec. 9 – Rawhide Youth Services reported an assault.
  • Dec. 9 – An unknown caller reported the death of a man who shot himself in the head.
  • Dec. 10 – A New London caller on Stage Road reported a maroon Ford Super Duty in the ditch and lying on its side. It was unoccupied. The caller said the inside “reeked of alcohol” and it looked “like they smashed the window to get out of the vehicle.”
  • Dec. 10 – A Marion man in Wilke Road called the sheriff’s department and was highly intoxicated. He said he was waiting for the Waupaca taxi service. The dispatcher advised him “we don’t have the manpower to be a taxi service.” The caller became belligerent.
  • Dec. 10 – A Waupaca woman on Lawson Drive reported she was sent a photo of a gun and a suicide note.
  • Dec. 10 – A New London man on Cameron Street reported the theft of 8-10 2-by-4 boards from a building site. There were footprints and tracks.
  • Dec. 10 – A New London caller on Stage Road reported people were in the woods behind her house shining a light and she could cold smell chemicals coming into the house.
  • Deer-auto collisions are still above normal. Fourteen controlled burns were called in. A driver reported 4-5 chickens on State Highway 10. A New London woman rounded up a loose horse running down State Highway 45 and led it down a driveway of a home that had horses. An unknown caller reported that a juvenile was bitten by a dog. A husky was reported running loose near Royalton. A caller reported an injured red-tailed hawk. A Weyauwega caller reported a pelican in the road. Cows were reported running loose near Clintonville. An Iola caller reported a brown beef cow running loose.
