Krueger, Dr. William H.

Dr. William H. Krueger, “Dr. Bill”, of Clintonville, Wisconsin age 82, passed away December 30th, 2023 peacefully in the comforts of his own home.

A great, kind, and generous man who found joy in serving others as well as maintaining a strong Christian faith.

Dr. Bill was born on July 29, 1941 in Neenah, WI to parents, William Sr. and Eleanor (Goethe) Krueger. He graduated from Neenah High in 1959, then attended UW Oshkosh majoring in pre-chiropractic. He graduated with his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Logan Basic College of Chiropractic, St. Louis, MO, in 1964.

Prior to attending Logan, he married his high school sweetheart Doris J. (Remmel) Krueger on August 19th, 1961. They were blessed with 4 children; Andrew, Donna, Chris, William. His most precious title was that of husband, father and grandfather. Family was especially important to him. Interests included hunting, fishing, carving, golf, curling, traveling, outdoor activities, cooking, and loved a good game of cribbage or bridge.

He established his practice in Clintonville, WI on March 18th, 1965. He proudly served and cared for patients for 37 years in conjunction with founding an insurance review company with the goal of ensuring that the profession as well as the patients of chiropractors were treated fairly. He was heavily involved in Wisconsin state chiropractic activities from 1965-2002. He was a charter and founding member of the Wisconsin Chiropractic Foundation. In addition he held many positions and honors during this time including President of the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association, Vice President of Wisconsin Chiropractic Foundation, Chiropractor of the year 1976, Teuteberg award recipient for student recruitment. Dr. Krueger was awarded the President’s Award for Excellence multiple times throughout his career.

During his professional life he was a member of the Logan College Alumni Board of Directors since 1965 where he also served as president in 1981-1982. He was a charter member of the President’s Advisory Council for Logan College since 1981. Dr. Bill was an honorary member of the Chiropractic fraternity, Delta Sigma Chi. He served as a member of the teaching faculty for Northwestern Chiropractic College in Bloomington, MN.

He served in many community positions. He was a past member of the United Methodist Church, Clintonville Lions Club and Rotary. He also held leadership positions at Christ Congregational UCC in Clintonville. He served on the Fox Communities Credit Union Board of Directors for 13 years and was a current member of the Clintonville Moose Lodge.

Dr. William H. Krueger is survived by his wife Doris Krueger of 62 years, son Andrew (Christina) Krueger, daughter Donna (John) Shuck, son Dr. Chris (Ann Romberg) Krueger, son William (Kim) Krueger. Grandchildren Joshua Krueger, Dr. Katelin (fiancé Hunter) Krueger, Cameron (Erica) Shuck, Maxwell Krueger, Spencer Krueger, Lorelei Krueger. Sister in-laws Janice Remmel and Mary Remmel. Along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son Keith Krueger. Mother and father in-law Paul and Jean Remmel. Brothers in-law, Donald Remmel, David Remmel, Richard Remmel and sister in-law Dorothy Mcintosh.

Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating his life on Saturday, January 20th, 2024 at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory South Location, Clintonville. (299 S. Main St.) A visitation will be held from 9-11 AM, with a service to follow at 11 AM with Pastor Jill Meyer, Christ Congregational UCC, presiding. There will be a luncheon served after the service.

He will be remembered for his gentle, steadfast, leadership in all areas of his life as well as his welcoming smile. He loved faithfully, served tirelessly and believed unwaveringly in his chosen career of Chiropractic.

A memorial fund will be established by the family to honor Dr. Bill’s legacy.
