Pedestrian injured in crash

Investigators seek leads

The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information regarding a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian.

The crash occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, on County Trunk W near New London High School.

“We believe the vehicle is either a car or smaller SUV, darker in color,” according to the sheriffs office. “The vehicle will most likely have front end damage, specifically the passenger side headlight assembly and passenger side mirror. The remaining headlight may have a yellow-colored tint to it.”

The vehicle was last seen traveling northbound into the city of New London.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the vehicle or who may have stopped at the scene of the accident before law enforcement arrived to contact Deputy Justin Malueg at 715-258-4466.
