Schuelke, Kelly W.

Kelly W. Schuelke, age 72, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2024

at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, Wisconsin.

Kelly was born on November 29, 1951 to the late Oscar and Marlea (Netzel) Schuelke.

Kelly always looked on the bright side of things. With a quick wit and huge sense of humor, he could always make you laugh, no matter how bad your day was. He was a 1970 graduate of New London High School. From there, Kelly was proud to serve in the U.S. Army. He was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas from March 1971 to March 1973, remaining with the Reserves until 1977. On May 25, 1974, Kelly married the love of his life, Betty Reinke at Grace Lutheran Church in Sugar Bush, WI. He worked for Kimberly Clark in Neenah, WI for 29 years, retiring in December 2007.

Kelly greatly enjoyed deer hunting with his close buddies at the hunting shack in the woods, the same shack in which he made maple syrup in the spring. It was always a party in the woods with lots of fun, laughter, and memories made that will forever be remembered. Kelly also loved fishing with his sons and friends, and watching the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers games.

Kelly will be deeply missed by his wife of almost 50 years, Betty; his sons, Christopher Schuelke, Aaron (Amy) Schuelke, Dillon Schuelke; Laurie Schuelke, mother of grandchildren, Molly and William Schuelke; brother, Randy (Carin) Schuelke; twin sister, Kay Krause; brother in-law, Merlin Reinke; sisters in-law, Beverly Glocke, Lois Herzfeldt, and Joanne Reinke. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other family, many, many close friends, and last but not least, his furry kitty buddy, London.

Kelly was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Marlea; in-laws, Robert and Gladys Reinke; brothers in-law, Michael Reinke, Alan Reinke, and Doug Glocke.

The Funeral Service for Kelly Schuelke will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Rev. Eric Fenske officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of service.

A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at St. Elizabeth’s for all they did for Kelly and our family.

‘Til we meet again
I loved you yesterday
