Shots fired in Clintonville

Two taken into custody

Clintonville police received several phone calls shortly after 5 p.m. Friday, March 1, reporting possible gunshots heard in the area of Anne and Fifth streets.

When officers arrived to the area, they located no people matching the descriptions provided by witnesses, but they found spent bullet casings.

Witnesses described three men. One subject was approximately 6-feet tall, wearing black with a hood. The second man was wearing a dark shirt and dark jogger pants. The third individual was wearing a black and red top and dark pants.

Clintonville police updated their information about the incident Sunday. March 3.

The report said the Calumet Sheriff’s Office had taken a 20-year-old Menasha man into custody.

The man was turned over to Clintonville police and transported to the Waupaca County jail.

He was booked on three counts of reckless endangerment with a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct.

Also on Sunday morning, Clintonville police and Waupaca County deputies executed a search warrant at a home on anne Street.

Police took a 21-year-old Clintonville man into custody for a probation warrant, party to a crime of reckless endangerment with a firearm and disorderly conduct.
