Larry Smith of Waupaca, age 83, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 4, 2024.
He was born in Lake City, Iowa on September 22, 1940 to the late Leonard and Dorothy (Kinney) Smith. On April 22, 1961 he married the love of his life, Annetta Anderson. They enjoyed many wonderful adventures and created many memories in their 62 years of marriage. Larry was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard in the 32nd division in Fort Louis, Washington. Larry enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing cards, watching college basketball and watching animals and birds in his backyard. He especially enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He will be missed by his wife: Annetta; daughter: Lori (Neil) Potter; grandchildren: April Smith, Summer (Dylan) Roth, Dena Smith, Kate Potter and Keli Potter; great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Kaitlyn, James, Charlotte and Olivia; sister-in-law: Ann Smith; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Scott Smith and brother, Jimmie Smith.
The Memorial Service will be on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 11 am at Trinity Lutheran Church. The visitation will be on Monday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials are appreciated.
