Waupaca County sheriff’s report March 17

  • March 11 – A Waupaca caller on Shadow Road reported a driver backed into his mailbox on purpose.
  • March 11 – A New London man on Algoma Street reported a dining room table was stolen and pawned in Wisconsin Rapids.
  • March 11 – A Waupaca caller on Dixie Lane reported an auto crash where a man was thrown from the vehicle.
  • March 11 – A Manawa man on Progress Road reported the theft of some items.
  • March 11 – A Bear Creek man on State Highway 22 reported a case of check fraud.
  • March 11 – A 911 caller reported a fire in the woods on Oak Ridge Road in Scandinavia.
  • March 11 – An anonymous caller reported a man who looked homeless was sitting in the ditch alongside the road.
  • March 11 – A Clintonville man on First Street reported a suspicious white Chevy Silverado with rusted-out fenders drove by his house multiple times in the past few days.
  • March 11 – A Waupaca man on Shambeau Trace reported a suspicious vehicle parking in the neighbor’s driveway.
  • March 12 – A female caller reported a man standing outside the Waupaca County Courthouse yelling profanities.
  • March 12 – A caller reported a small dog lives at an address and it never goes outside. The dog has all of its hair shaved off and is covered with feces and urine as it is stuck in a kennel all day.
  • March 12 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a case of theft and property damage.
  • March 12 – An Appleton caller reported his cell phone was taken while he was golfing and was now somewhere on Jefferson Street in New London.
  • March 12 – Fleet Farm in Waupaca reported a man concealing merchandise in his shorts.
  • March 12 – A Clintonville woman on Olson Road reported a juvenile female made suicidal comments. She has a history of mental illness and said she “wanted to end her life.”
  • March 12 – A Bear Creek caller on State Highway 45 reported she was lighting a candle and a spark landed on her pillow. It did not start on fire but she was calling if it would be okay if she put the pillow outside.
  • March 12 – A 911 caller requested an ambulance for a 65-year-old man with shoulder pain who was feeling clammy and had a history of fainting.
  • March 12 – A Waupaca woman on Silver Lake Drive reported her puppy was stuck under the deck and its collar was caught on something. She had a lower back injury and could not crawl under there and needed some help.
  • March 13 – ThedaCare requested a welfare check on a man who had a history of seizures. They were unable to reach him by phone and his visits abruptly stopped.
  • March 13 –A Pine River man on Saxeville Road reported the illegal dumping of four bags of garbage.
  • March 13 – A Waupaca woman on Crystal Lake Road reported an older black man pulled into her driveway and got out of his vehicle to give her children money to go shopping. He said he loves kids. The man was told to leave. The caller said he drives past her home a lot.
  • March 13 – An unknown caller requested help with a family situation. A juvenile was out of control and reaching for a shovel.
  • March 13 – A Waupaca woman on Western Avenue reported a suspicious man yelling outside of an apartment complex.
  • March 14 – ThedaCare reported they had a man on the phone who said he wanted to go to a private room and die.
  • March 14 – A Waupaca caller on Center Street reported a coworker pushed him around, grabbed his clothes, tried forcing him out of a room and then followed him around.
  • March 14 – A Waupaca caller on Chad Court reported his wife was having a mental illness episode. She was in the shower and claiming she was having a baby despite not being pregnant.
  • March 14 – A Weyauwega man on State Highway 110 reported a man came to his salvage yard looking for a bumper but he took some catalytic converters instead. He also left his tools behind.
  • March 14 – Manawa Community Nursing reported an 87-year-old man was trying to hit and kick the staff.
  • March 14 – A Scandinavia caller on Nottleson Road reported a suspicious truck parked in front of her house.
  • March 14 – A Manawa caller on Nuthatch Lane reported her 49-year-old son was feeling suicidal and said he wanted to die.
  • March 14 – A Clintonville man on State Highway 156 reported a man was waving a gun and saying he was going to shoot up the caller’s house.
  • March 15 – A Waupaca caller on Emmons Creek Road reported getting harassing phone calls from her mother’s life insurance company.
  • March 15 – A Clintonville man on State Highway 22 reported his father’s car trailer and pickup truck were taken off the property.
  • March 15 – An Ogdensburg man on North Water Drive reported his ex-wife was trespassing on his property.
  • March 16 – A Fremont caller on County Trunk H reported her fiancé was last seen at 6 p.m. the previous day.
  • March 16 – Ace Repossession reported they would be repossessing 2014 blue Ford F150.
  • March 16 – A Waupaca man on East Road requested an ambulance for a 64-year-old man who was urinating nonstop.
  • March 16 – A DNR warden reported a group of fisherman who were drunk and disorderly.
  • March 16 – A Waupaca caller on East Road reporting some people trespassing on his property.
  • March 16 – Weyauwega Travel Plaza reported a highly intoxicated woman was in the store and an employee tried to convince her to stay. The woman drove off in a white van.
  • March 16 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a juvenile runaway.
  • March 17 – An Illinois woman reported she left her boyfriend at a bar, deciding to walk. She called 911 for a ride to Round Lake Drive. She demanded help and threatened to try to hitchhike there.
  • March 17 – A Waupaca man on County Trunk A reported a male was stealing things from an old farm near the caller’s address.
  • There was a slight increase in deer-auto collisions during this period. A Fremont woman reported a dog was locked up in a red truck for seven hours. A caller reported a tree fell onto a utility line. A Manawa man reported his neighbor’s dog keeps pooping in his yard. A Manawa woman reported a black cow in the road. A woman reported being bitten by her own cat as the cat was being attacked by two pit bulls.
