Four injured in U.S. 10 crash

Driver going wrong way

Four people were injured in a head-on crash on U.S. Highway 10 east of Haffner Road in rural Weyauwega shortly before 8 p.m. Monday, March 25.

According to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, an eastbound car traveling in the westbound lane collided with a westbound car.

Three occupants in the westbound car and one occupant in the eastbound car were transported to medical facilities for treatment of their injuries.

The driver of the wrong-way vehicle was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence causing injury, second-degree reckless endangerment, and operating without a valid driver’s license.

The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Weyauwega Police Department, Weyauwega Fire Department, Gold Cross Ambulance Service and Fremont Ambulance.
