Linda J. Koehler (63), New London, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2024, at her home, following a short illness.
Linda was born in Chicago on January 29, 1961, the daughter of Constance and the late Fred (Fritz) Koehler.
Linda lived a life of many challenges due to her disabilities, however, her life was filled with much joy and adventure, always smiling and engaging in conversations and activities with her large family and many friends. She spent much of her early life in the Northcenter neighborhood of Chicago, attending Coonley and Burbank Grade School and Spaulding High School. After her mother retired, Linda moved with her to the family’s farm in Waupaca, Wisconsin. Later, Linda moved into her Clarity Care community home in New London, Wisconsin where she enjoyed the company of many friends. She especially enjoyed attending her workshops, shopping at Walmart, bowling with her friends, and many community outings.
Linda will be dearly missed by her mother; her siblings, Ray (Pam), Mary, Mike (Helen), Jack and Joe; her Aunt Lenore, Uncle Carl and Aunt Rhonda, Uncle Edgar and Aunt Pauline; her nieces, Emma and Clare Koehler; her nephews, John, Mark and Luke Koehler; and her many cousins and friends.
She now joins her beloved father and many dear aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends already in heaven where they are certainly enjoying each other’s company.
Linda’s family is especially grateful to her caregivers at her Clarity Care home in New London, Wisconsin and Community Care in Waupaca. Their compassionate care provided Linda a beautiful home until her recent passing.
Linda will be interred at All Saint Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois next to her father.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Danes Hall of Waupaca.
