Toni Stemwedel, age 59, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2024.

Toni was born in Portage, WI on July 18, 1964, to Daniel Koch and Phyllis Koch. She was a dedicated nurse, wife, mother, and nana.

Toni’s commitment to the well-being of others was unparalleled, and she touched the lives of countless veterans during her career at Wisconsin Veterans Home at King along with many other patients at various healthcare facilities. Her legacy of service will forever be remembered by those who she served and inspired.

Aside from her professional accomplishments, Toni was a devoted wife to her husband, James Stemwedel. James and Toni were married on August 31, 1991. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Their love will carry on forever and a day.

Toni is survived by her husband James; her mother Phyllis Koch; her father-in-law Ed Stemwedel; her brothers Wade Koch, Jodi Koch, Rory (Julie) Koch, Timothy Koch and special friend Becky; her sister Dana Soerens; her children: Edward (Alicia) Stemwedel, Justin Stemwedel, Natasha Stemwedel; her granddaughters: Amaurah and Aveylah Stemwedel. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Toni was preceded in death by her father Daniel Koch; her mothers-in-law Eleanor Warner and Judy Stemwedel; brother Todd Koch; and her brother-in-law Mark Soerens.

A Funeral Mass for Toni will be held on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Weyauwega with Fr. Robert Chinnapan officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, April 7, from 1-4 p.m. at the Dahlke Life Celebration Center in Weyauwega and AT THE CHURCH on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45. a.m.

Toni’s passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family, friends, and colleagues. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to helping others will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
