Anderson, Georgia

Georgia C. Anderson, age 77 of Pearson formerly of Clintonville passed away Monday April 15, 2024 at Oak Park Place in Menasha.

Georgia Carol Mavis was born on June 9, 1946 in Clintonville as the daughter of the late Norman and Helen (Koehler) Mavis. She grew up in Clintonville where she was united in marriage to James “Jim” W. Anderson on October 3, 1962 at the St. Martin Lutheran Church. The couple lived in Clintonville prior to moving to the Cloverleaf Lakes, and then moved to the Pearson area in the late 1980s where they resided until Jim’s passing in 2021. While in Pearson, the couple were members of St. Matthew Lutheran Church where Georgia was an active volunteer over the years. She enjoyed snowmobiling and was a member of the Lily Snowbirds Club. Georgia and Jim enjoyed taking a scenic ride on their Honda Gold Wing motorcycle and volunteered for many years at the Crandon Brush Runs. Georgia spent time fishing and hunting, but was probably best known for her cooking and baking skills. On a warm sunny day, Georgia could be found taking care of her gardens or watching over the family’s beloved dogs. She is now back with Jim in the loving arms of our Lord.
