Waupaca County sheriff’s report July 21

  • July 12 – The Iola Old Car Show reported a golf cart was stolen. They also reported some speeding in the car swap area and mini bikes in the camp area.
  • July 12 – A Waupaca caller on Cobbtown Road reported people were on her property trying to take a truck back after a private sale. They threatened to beat up the caller.
  • July 12 – A Waupaca caller on Lawon Drive reported a suspicious biker that unsuccessfully tried to gain access to a home with a key. The biker then went over to the neighbor’s house and tried using the key.
  • July 12 – A Weyauwega caller on Mill Pond Circle called to say she needs a ride home. When the dispatcher asked what was happening, the caller said she did not know, that she needs a ride home and hung up. The dispatcher called back and there was no answer.
  • July 12 – A New London man on State Highway 54 reported his mailbox was struck the night before.
  • July 13 – An Iola woman on Wolf River Road reported a firearm was taken out of her vehicle.
  • July 13 – A Fremont woman on Washington Street reported a man was outside with a knife and saying he was going to kill himself.
  • July 13 – The Iola Car Show reported two intoxicated people were urinating on the grounds.
  • July 13 – A Clintonville man on Lakeshore Drive reported someone broke into his house.
  • July 13 – The Iola Old Car Show requested help escorting an intoxicated person off the property.
  • July 13 – An Embarrass caller on Main Street reported a woman staying at the address broke some mirrors and pushed an air conditioner out the window.
  • July 13 – A caller reported someone drive into his backyard the night before and damage some lawn furniture.
  • July 13 – Hartman Creek State Park reported a male was swimming and some children squirted him with a squirt gun. The male got angry and made racial comments and confronted the mother of the children. The mother slapped him and the male punched her twice.
  • July 14 – Canadian National Railroad reported the arms at a train crossing were stuck in the down position.
  • July 14 – The Scandinavia Fire Department reported an intoxicated male passed out on a ront lawn. Later the subject was trying to get into a vehicle.
  • July 14 – The Iola Old Car Show reported a black truck was doing donuts in the grass.
  • July 14 – A Waupaca caller on Pine Lane reported a suspicious tall, skinny man wearing a black sweatshirt was looking around his property and taking pictures.
  • July 14 – A caller reported he was wearing an ankle bracelet and was not supposed to leave the county but now he was in a vehicle with a woman that was heading to Green Bay.
  • July 14 – Rawhide Youth Services reported there was a fight between residents and there were injuries.
  • July 14 – A Manawa caller on State Highway 22 reported his side-by-side UTV was taken from his garage and he suspected his ex-girlfriend.
  • July 14 – A Waupaca caller on Parfreyville Road reported a man left an hour before and said that he was sorry, that he failed and that he loved her.
  • July 14 – Outagamie County Sheriff requested help finding a man wanted for felony strangulation.
  • July 14 – Rawhide Youth Services reported two juvenile runaways.
  • July 14 – An unknown caller reported a person on a motor scooter was towing a wheelbarrow with a person in it.
  • July 14 – faith Community Church in Waupaca reported a suspicious vehicle that was parked there for many days.
  • July 15 – Kwick Trip on County Trunk QQ in Waupaca reported two suspicious young males asking for rides.
  • July 15 – A male caller reported his daughter withdrew some cash from an ATM and one of the bills was counterfeit.
  • July 15 – An Iola caller on Frontage Road reported a man was “on a four-day drunk” and was suicidal.
  • July 15 – ACR Repo reported they were repossessing a black 2017 Dodge Ram and a 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander.
  • July 16 – A Waupaca caller on Jensen Road reported finding a primer cord for explosives while cleaning his father’s house.
  • July 16 – A 911 caller reported a 32-year-old man left the house in white Ford truck while making comments about harming himself.
  • July 16 – A Waupaca caller on Shambeau Trace reported two mailboxes were knocked into the roadway.
  • July 16 – A Waupaca woman on Bags Hill Road reported a suspicious man outside in the bushes and recording her.
  • July 17 – A Bear Creek caller reported a suspicious Nissan Rogue with California plates in her driveway.
  • July 17 – A Scandinavia man on Norse Street reported a woman text messaged him saying she killed someone. The caller said this was a continuation of a fraud where he was scammed out of some money from gift card purchases.
  • July 17 – A Waupaca caller on Julie Lane reported an abandoned motorcycle.
  • July 17 – A caller requested a welfare check on her parents. She said her father was drunk, belligerent and thought he may be hurting her mother. She was text messaging her mother and she said he was being physical and then the text messages stopped.
  • July 17 – A Fremont caller on Fremont Street reported his neighbor was drunk and wanted to cut a tree down. It was related to a property line dispute.
  • July 17 – A New London caller on Hoffman Road reported a suspicious white SUV with an antenna and a speaker. He approached the vehicle and person said they were listening for frogs. The caller thought the vehicle had government license plates.
  • July 17 – A Waupaca woman reported a suspicious black car in her driveway. A man said he had car trouble and asked if he could go inside and use their phone. They said no.
  • July 17 – A woman from Mountain Home, Idaho reported a juvenile took something and was going to kill people and himself. The juvenile was outside. The caller said they feared for their safety.
  • July 18 – A Waupaca caller on Crystal Road reported hearing somebody yelling for help at an address. When she pulled into to check, she heard someone yell, “What the are you doing here?” The caller left.
  • July 18 – A Scandinavia man on State Highway 49 reported Medicare fraud and Social Security theft.
  • July 18 – A female caller reported there was a person in a “wave boat” going the wrong way and cutting people off.
  • July 18 – A New London man on Cut Off Road reported a naked man was flashing tubers.
  • July 18 – A caller reported drones were flying close to his house.
  • July 18 – A Waupaca caller on Pine Lane reported a person was in their front yard taking pictures. It was the third time the man had been in the yard since Sunday.
  • July 18 – A Rosholt woman on Sunset Drive reported a man was camping in a truck. There was garbage all around and he was making fire pits. The caller suspected he was using drugs.
  • July 19 – An unknown caller reported a woman was in a “bad state of mind and took a bunch of pills. She now had slurred speech.
  • July 19 – An Iola woman on Iola Street reported a person made a Go Fund Me page on behalf of them and raised $25,000. The person refused to give it to the caller.
  • July 19 – A Scandinavia woman on Lake Breeze Lane reported receiving death threats through Messenger: “Sent some assassins to kill you.” Her account was previously hacked earlier in the day.
  • July 19 – The Store in Manawa reported a gas drive-off valued at $54. The vehicle was a green Subaru.
  • July 19 – An unknown caller reported a juvenile sent a friend a suicidal text message.
  • July 19 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a juvenile runaway.
  • July 20 – An Iola woman on Wolf River Road reported a blue Chevy truck followed her home and keeps driving back and forth in front of her house.
  • July 20 – An Iola woman on Moon Lake Court reported getting numerous calls from a blocked number. It was a female voice. The calls were “harassing and making nasty comments about her dead son.”
  • July 20 – A New London caller on North Water Street reported a man trespassed to go fishing.
  • July 19 – A New London caller on Partridge Drive reported that while she was walking her horse she heard a projectile whiz past her.
  • July 20 – A female caller reported a man threatened her, saying, “He’s got people down in Milwaukee.”
  • July 20 – A Waupaca man on Cemetery Road called 911. The line was open with people yelling in the background, both male and female voices. Someone yelled, “Call the police!”
  • July 20 – Rawhide Youth Services reported two juvenile runaways.
  • July 20 – A Waupaca man on Pine Lane reported people yelling and screaming at a nearby address.
  • July 21 – An Ogdensburg man on Phelps Road reported a gas truck was on fire.
  • July 21 – A female caller from Ontario, Oregon reported she was with a man that was making threats to other people, stating that if he doesn’t get his money then he was going to “Kick their.”
  • July 21 – A Marion man on State Highway 110 reported a suspicious young male sitting by the Dupont Discount Store. The male stated he had a friend coming to pick him up and that he walked there from a couple towns away.
  • July 21 – A Waupaca woman on Young Drive reported a man lying in the ditch. She checked on him. He said he had nowhere to go so he was just going to keep lying in the ditch.
  • July 21 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a juvenile runaway.
  • July 21 – A Marion woman on Ramsdell Street reported her daughter showed up all bloody and fighting with her boyfriend. Both were drunk.
  • There was a below average number of deer-auto collisions during this period. Twelve controlled burns were called in. The water patrol stopped 37 boats. A New London man reported two duck-killing German shepherds running loose. An anonymous caller reported a dog trapped inside of a white Ford F150. A Fremont woman reported three horses running in the road. A Marion caller reported two cows in the road. An Iola man on Engebretson Road reported cows in the road. There were numerous complaints about fireworks. There will multiple reports of downed trees blocking roadways.
