Waupaca County sheriff’s report July 28

  • July 22 – A 911 caller reported a tree branch was sparking on an energized line on Lind Center Road.
  • July 22 – A Clintonville caller on County Trunk I reported on a contractor she hired to work on her home and cottage. She took the contractor to court, he did not show up and now she wants to press criminal charges.
  • July 22 – Camp Young Judaea reported a suspicious person on campus taking photos.
  • July 22 – An Iola man on County Trunk C reported the theft of numerous street signs that were taken down the weekend before.
  • July 22 – A Marion woman on Spaulding Road requested a welfare check on a woman laying half off the roadway. She said she was waiting for a ride. Her shoes were off. The caller suspected the woman was under the influence of something.
  • July 22 – An Ogdensburg man reported he received a call from his ex-girlfriend. She was drinking and towards the end of the call, she stopped responding.
  • July 22 – A female caller reported a suspicious utility truck parked in the driveway for 30 minutes. A man was walking up to cottages. The caller thought this was suspicious because it was 2:30 a.m.
  • July 23 – A Manawa caller on State Road 22-110 reported someone illegally dumped a car bumper and tires in his driveway.
  • July 23 – An Amherst Junction caller reported a suicidal woman showed up at church. She was turned in to a woman’s care clinic. She was wearing all black and carrying a baseball bat.
  • July 23 – A female caller reported her Mac Book was hacked. She gave the hackers $17,000 through a Bit Coin machine in Appleton.
  • July 23 – A Waupaca caller on Main Street reported a man pointed a gun at his uncle and demanded to know where he was at.
  • July 23 – The Pub in Waupaca reported two men trespassed on the property and one man pointed a gun at a relative of the caller.
  • July 23 – Us 2 Behavioral Health Care in Appleton reported a woman making suicidal comments. She told the caller she “would be dead before the police got there.”
  • July 23 – The Wisconsin Veterans Home reported the theft of $500 from a resident.
  • July 23 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a juvenile runaway.
  • July 23 – A Waupaca caller on County Trunk QQ reported his stepson threatened him and yelled at him to stay away from his family.

  • July 23 – A DNR game warden requested assistance in identifying individuals illegally camping on Drake Road.
  • July 23 – Clear Water Harbor in Waupaca reported a man yelled at employees in the parking lot and seemed to be “flipping out, possibly on drugs.”
  • July 23 – A Fremont man on Pines Road reported a 63-year-old woman was having a mental break down. She cut a catheter, pulled it out and refuses to eat.
  • July 23 – A Clintonville woman on Lakeshore Road reported a person playing loud music.
  • July 23 – East Side Mobil in Waupaca reported a suspicious woman sleeping in the grass by the back fence.
  • July 23 – A male caller reported a woman was just released from jail and now she seemed high, possibly on meth.
  • July 23 – A Clintonville man on Lakeshore Road reported he resealed his driveway and placed two buckets with a rope stretched across as a barrier. The buckets were moved and someone drove on the drying resealed driveway.
  • July 23 – A New London woman on Cut Off Road reported a person was on her porch with a flashlight.
  • July 23 – A Waupaca man on Skyview Lane reported his wife through she saw someone in the garage and the lights were going on and off.
  • July 24 – A Manawa woman on Howard Street reported a female was having a breakdown and attacking her fiancé.
  • July 24 – Sandbur Corners reported a gas drive-off valued at $35. The vehicle looked alike a black Chevy Equinox.
  • July 24 – A Clintonville man on Hudson Road reported a vacant house was broken into again.
  • July 24 – A caller reported a ditch fire on State Highway 10 and Morgan Drive.
  • July 24 – A Clintonville caller on Clinton Avenue reported a woman got out of a truck and fell right into the grass.
  • July 25 – A Waupaca caller on County Trunk QQ reported his 50-year-old son was being aggressive.
  • July 25 – A Weyauwega man on Military Road reported fireworks and a .22 firearm were being shot off. The caller said this violates zoning rules.
  • July 25 – An Iola caller on John Street reported his girlfriend was threatening to keep their dog. She set his clothes out on the front porch but was “more concerned about getting the dog.”
  • July 25 – An Ogdensburg man on County Trunk B reported getting a fraudulent check.
  • July 26 – An unknown caller reported a wake boat and people surfing behind it. The towns of Farmington and Dayton recently passed an ordinance prohibiting the operation of this type of boats.
  • July 26 – A male caller reported he gave $520 via debit cards in a scam.
  • July 26 – An Amazon delivery driver reported hitting a utility line that connects a house to a power line.
  • July 26 – Dollar General in Embarrass reported a man inappropriately touch an employee that is a minor.
  • July 26 – A Marion man on Fifth Street reported his parents have been hearing voices coming from their barn. Over the past few days, gates were left open and horses and cattle were roaming free.
  • July 26 – A Clintonville woman on 9th Street reported “a car full of boys” in her sister’s yard. They took off driving recklessly on Main Street in a green car.
  • July 26 – A Clintonville woman on Lakeshore Road reported a youth was shooting a pellet gun on her property, others were acting disorderly and one swore at her.
  • July 27 – Marshfield Clinic reported a woman was assaulted the night before by two women in Waupaca County.
  • July 27 – A New London woman on County Trunk O reported a small Chevy in the ditch with nobody inside the vehicle. There was a woman walking down the road with a fat lip.
  • July 27 – Wolf River Trips and Campground reported a man with a cooler who was refusing to leave.
  • July 27 – A Waupaca man on Lind Center Road reported he came home from work, put his wallet on the counter, went outside and now it is gone.
  • July 27 – A woman calling from a local campground reported there was a man walking around the campsites saying he was going to kill people.
  • July 28 – A Waupaca caller on Pine Lane reported a male was trying to force a woman into a red minivan.
  • July 28 – Indian Crossing Casino reported an intoxicated male was refusing to leave.
  • July 28 – A Bear Creek caller on Silver Creek Road reported that while he was away, someone left a container of nitric or phosphoric acid on his property.
  • July 28 – Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance in finding a female driver in a blue Ford Explorer with Minnesota plates. She kicked her husband out of the vehicle and tried to run him over.
  • July 28 – A Waupaca caller on Birchwood Drive reported his ex-wife keeps driving by his house and violating her probation.
  • July 28 – A Waupaca caller on Otter Drive reported that her son was threatening to kill himself. He was asking for his guns and a rope to hang himself.
  • There was a below average amount of deer-auto collisions during this period. Ten controlled burns were called in. The water patrol stopped 16 boats. A caller on Rural Road found an injured hawk. A Fed Ex driver reported being bitten by a dog.
