Two people were injured in a Fremont collision.
A 29-year-old Berlin man was driving a Jeep sports utility vehicle southbound on State Highway 49 in the town of Fremont when he lost control, crossed the centerline and hit a northbound vehicle head on.
The crash occurred one-quarter mile north of Tri County Road around 2:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17.
The man was airlifted to ThedaCare in Neenah.
The driver of the northbound vehicle was a 57-year-old Waupaca woman. She was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
The Jeep also had two dogs in it. They were transported to a veterinarian clinic for treatment of possible injuries.
The highway was closed for nearly 1 1/2 hours for the crash investigation.
The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office has not released any names at this time.
