Incident occurred Thursday in Dayton
A vehicle hit a cyclist around 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 16, near the intersection of Stratton Lake and Holmnlane roads in the town of Dayton.
According to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Stratton Lake Road when it struck the bicycle.
ThedaStar Air Ambulance flew the seriously injured victim to the hospital.
Emergency staff at the hospital later pronounced victim deceased.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
