Mary Jane “Jane” Jensen, age 99, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Park Vista in Waupaca, WI.
She was born on June 8, 1921 in Stevens Point, WI, daughter of the late Max E. and Leone (Viertel) Huey. On September 9, 1944, she married Joseph E. Jensen in El Paso, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 15, 1984. Jane was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church in Weyauwega, WI, where she enjoyed singing and overseeing the church kitchen. Her passion was cooking, baking, singing but most special to her was spending time with family.
She is survived by her children, Nancy Jane Gartzke of Waupaca, WI, Mary Jo (Jeff) Neidinger of Kingwood, Texas and Joseph “J” (Michele) Jensen of Franklin, TN; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Chad Gartzke and sister, Moxie Klein.
Funeral services will be Monday, October 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Chapel in Waupaca with Pastor David Goyke officiating. Burial will be in Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donation be made to Calvary Chapel Mission Ministry.
